Reviews
I think the anonymous commenter was unnecessarily mean, but I agree that a recipe for “salsa fresca” has no business using canned tomatoes or hot sauce. Salsa fresca is supposed to get its heat from fresh chiles. At least there are some onions and cilantro in it, but if you’re starting your salsa with a can of tomatoes, honestly, you may as well just go buy a jar of Ortega and be done with it. Expecting salsa fresca and getting this would be akin to ordering fresh fish and getting a can of StarKist Chunk Light.
