  1. 4 slices white bread, cubed
  2. 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  3. ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  4. ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
  5. 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Handy little recipe with perfect results! Substituted parsley flakes with dried oregano as it was all I had but it turned out lovely and super quick. My only question: how long will they keep for in airtight container? As I made this to use up some quite stale bread…

Great way to use leftover crusts after making finger sandwiches for a graduation tea. Tripled the recipe and came out crunchy and delicious. After 4 min I put my gloves on, took out the basket and shook the croutons over the sink, then put back in for 2 minutes. Of course had to repeat 3 times. Easy and quick!

Can’t believe how quick and crunchy these came out! I used two large slices of sourdough bread with a parsley, basil, garlic, and onion powder. Delish!

I did 250/300 degrees for 3 min. each as another reviewer reported. Great! I added more Italian seasoning than original recipe. No more store-bought croutons for me! Easy to prep and bake–no trouble at all. I’d never thought to make my own croutons; now, I always will. I used French bread. I should have weighed it instead of guessing. “4 slices of bread” would mean more if we knew the gram weight.

I used vegetable oil and garlic and herb. I set the hot air fryer to 400 for four minutes. At the end of four minutes, I opened the fryer to toss the croutons…and all I had to toss were very burnt croutons into the garbage. I tried it again at 250 degrees for 3 minutes, toss, three minutes at 300 again. Perfect.

So easy to make and so much better than store-bought. I often use olive oil instead of butter and switch up seasonings. The best part about this recipe? I eat a lot more salad just to have an excuse to make these!

Great recipe. First use of my new air-fryer. I did add a bit of olive oil and more herbs to help coat the bread pieces and cooked a little longer (8 minutes) to crisp up but brilliant result.

just made these and I’ll tell you I won’t be buying them from the store again. I did add a little more garlic to them

Loved it! I work at a food pantry and there was leftover sandwich rolls similar to hot dog buns. My first batch cooked 4 min; then 2 after shaking them up. They were too brown and crunchy for my liking, maybe because I cut them smaller? I did another batch using 4 and one and they came out nice! I will use this recipe often. I also used fresh parsley from the garden 😉

Used gluten-free bread and a bit of garlic salt above the called for ingredients. Will always make these when croutons are needed. Delicious.

This is a great way to make croutons and worked out very well. I gave it 4 stars because I changed the recipe to make it better. Be creative. Parsley does not need to be your only spice. I used a Sicilian blend that I got from an oil and vinegar store which has onion, oregano, red pepper, green pepper, basil. Next time I’d like to try these croutons and replace the butter with my pesto oil or Tuscan oil. The time for the air fryer was spot on and they look and tasted great. I cut the crust off of my bread and the dog enjoyed it…lol. So much easier to make croutons this way!

What did I do with the leftover hotdog and hamburger buns? Bam! Croutons. The fantastic flavor and crisp crunch made our salad that much tastier.

Theae were delicious! I used Oatnut bread instead of white, so they looked darker, but my husband and 17-year-old loved them! They crisped up a bit after they were done and sat out (about 1 hour).
