rated ‘the best green bean casserole I ever made’ by friends and family
This is one of our family favorites. Our daughter request that I make it for every Thanks Giving and Christmas Dinners.
Me and my girlfriend loved this! I did not use the velveeta I just used shredded cheese and salt and pepper and it was perfect!
I made this and it was delicious, but I made a couple simple changes: If you use canned green beans (I used string beans) then use 4+ cans. I added cheese to sight/instinct, I did not add 1/2 pound- maybe 1/3 tops. I also added more flavor to the mushroom soup mix by using pepper, minced garlic, onion powder and salt. I feel like that made a big difference, because the flavor was wonderful! I will definitely make this again!
Made this for Christmas dinner on it was a big hit! I omitted the Velveeta and mixed all ingredients together except for a onions for the top. Also added a bit of soy sauce. Will make again! So easy.
Amazing! Second year making this for a side dish on thanksgiving and it’s a hit every time! Everyone says it’s the best green bean casserole they’ve ever had. I don’t think it’s too cheesy as some people commented. It’s perfect if you follow the ingredients!
My husband normally hates green bean casseroles, however, I knew the cheese would win him over! I halved the recipe, using (1) 27 oz. can of green beans, and only (1) 10.75 oz. can of cream of mushroom soup. The cheese is the key-Did not add any Velveeta, used grated Colby 1/2 to 3/4C, more on top along with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Definitely for the cheese lovers! Will make again using French green beans.
use half as much soup & cheese. added bacon and mushrooms
Used 1 cup of chedder cheese instead of velveeta and it was delicious. Will make this again.
Very disappointed……WAY to cheesy. It should be called cheese casserole with a few green beans. Next time I would omit the velvetta, cut the cheddar cheese in half and maybe add a little bit of salt.
Holy cheese! I love cheesy green bean casserole but I’m making some changes next time. The velveeta was too much for me and I’d use canned green beans instead.
If you love the traditional version, you’ll love it with cheese!! Absolutely delicious!! And it was simple to make.
I LOVE cheese and this was way too much!! Cut back on the cheese and you have a great recipe.
Good leave out velveeta otherwise make as stated.
This is a huge hit with my family. I have made it for all holiday’s and it is always requested!
Made this for Thanksgiving tonight and it is the bomb! Everyone loved it and said this will be the new green bean casserole! I did not add the velveeta and added Worcestershire sauce and it was a hit!
This was ok. Still searching for something better though.
This is the best green bean casserole i’ve seen on here so far. I also dont usually like green beans, so thats saying alot. I will probably make this again.
Love this one. Very cheesy. I needed to cook this for an extra 10 minutes because the Velvetta wasn’t melted through.
This was a good casserole. My family really liked it. I would add a few more green beans, it was really cheesey, but definitely liked it and will make again.
