Easy Lasagna with Uncooked Noodles

  4.5 – 445 reviews  • Lasagna Recipes

Serve this chicken Valentino meal to friends and prepare to dazzle them! Although it is simple to prepare at home, the dish is good enough to be served at a pricey restaurant. The meal is extremely exceptional because to the creamy mozzarella and roasted red peppers. Serve Alfredo sauce with pasta.

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound lean ground beef
  2. 1 onion, chopped
  3. 1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  4. 1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  5. 1 (16 ounce) package cottage cheese
  6. 1 pint part-skim ricotta cheese
  7. 2 large eggs
  8. ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  9. 1 (16 ounce) package lasagna noodles
  10. 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Make sauce: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Add onion and mushrooms; sauté until onions are transparent. Stir in pasta sauce and cook until heated through. Set aside.
  3. Make filling: Combine cottage cheese, ricotta, eggs, and Parmesan in a medium bowl and set aside.
  4. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 13×9-inch dish. Layer with uncooked lasagna noodles, cheese filling, mozzarella, and meat sauce. Continue layering until all components are used, reserving 1/2 cup mozzarella. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove foil and top with reserved 1/2 cup mozzarella. Continue baking until cheese is melted, about 15 more minutes. Let lasagna stand for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

I followed the directions for the most part. Added some V-8 because I had a slightly smaller jar of pasta sauce. Used regular Lasagna noodles. Added more onion and garlic to sauce as well as a good pinch of red pepper flakes. It was SOOO good. I didn’t imagine my Dad would like it much but he actually loved it. Served with frozen garlic knots from Aldi. Delicious!!!

Very easy to make. Filling was simple. I made it with Italian sausage, and the family loved the kick! I made a second recipe later, but added spinach and sundried tomatoes to the batch. The small leftovers went for calzones. You can’t go wrong with this recipe!

I made this for my Roommates and I on Christmas Day. They devoured it,it was so good. I added an extra jar of sauce into the meat and onions and bought a 16 oz bag of Mozzarella instead of the 8 oz. Came out Perfect!

I was looking for a simple recipe and this was just that. I took the suggestion to skip the mozzarella between layers and used Romano instead of parmesan there. I also added about 1/2 cup water total poured in the oorners of the pan to make sure the noodles cooked fully. It was a huge hit with my husband who is not crazy about lasagna and my friend who is!

This is my go-to recipe when I have to take a meal to a family. I also shared this recipe with a cooking challenged friend, who is now able to cook lasagna thanks to this easy recipe.

This is the best lasagna recipe. I did not use skim ricotta cheese I just use regular whole milk ricotta cheese and this is the so good I wish there were more stars for the rating. We did everything the recipe said and we did all of the instructions and the noodles were so good and soft it was delicious.

I loved the combination of cottage and ricotta cheese and didn’t find there was too much for my taste. I also added crumbled frozen chopped spinach after the meat layer and it lightened and brightened up the dish quite a bit. We like cheese so I generally use more mozzarella than a recipe calls for.

my family and I love this recipe. they only thing I do different is add a layer of spinach with the meat sauce. and of course any seasoning on the meat helps.

Allergic to eggs so replaced it with Greek yogurt. Dad has BPH so left out beef but replaced with veggies and used 1.5 times the sauce. Added oregano, cilantro, nutmeg, paprika and topped with some olives. Will make again.

I don’t add the same items as this recipe since my daughter is super picky but it gives the best step by step instructions, and cooking time.

Added salt and pepper to burger and also I see marinara sauce instead of spaghetti sauce. Easy recipe anyone can do it

I will make again. Made it for our 22 anniversary dinner. My husband said it was the best he ever had, even better that his mother.

This was my first time making lasagna and it turned out sooooo good!!! I followed the recipe pretty closely, but used fresh mushrooms, and perhaps a bit too much mozzarella! Next time, I’ll cut back on the mozzarella and also add spinach to the cheese sauce as others have done, and will also add chopped up bits of carrot to the meat sauce. I sautéed the onions first with some minced garlic before cooking the meat, and also added a bit of italian herbs to the sauce. I used 2x500g jars of pasta sauce as well. So happy I found this recipe as all the others I looked at looked like so much more work!!! Will definitely make again!!

This was great! Super easy and delicious. After reading some reviews, I wamted to add a little extra liquid to the hamburger mixture. So, the pasta sauce that we like comes in a 32 ounce jar, and I used about 3/4 C of water to rinse the jar and added that to the hamburger sauce mix as well. The noodles cooked beautifully. I will definitely be making this again.

Very easy to make & tastes great! I added seasonings to it which made it even better, otherwise it would’ve been bland in my opinion.

Super easy recipe! I used a basil / tomato spaghetti sauce and fresh mushrooms. Everyone loved it!
