These were delicious! They were simple to make and tasty, we’ve made them for lunches on multiple occasions. We did leave off the fontina cheese because it just seemed like too many ingredients to buy for a lunch, and it didn’t seem like it needed it. The Gouda definitely had a strong enough cheese flavor, any more cheese and it would overpower the prosciutto.

Great!!! Just got a Cuisinart grill/panini maker. Anything is good between two slices of crusty bread: all you need is a favorite cheese, an herb, a vege and a meat (optional). Salt and pepper. The key is the olive oil on the outside before putting it in the press. Whatever you like will taste good. I’m hooked.

This is by far the best panini, I use ciabata bread, and also spread a olive oil/ balsamic mix inside the loaf of the bread, before layering the ingredients. This is our favorite !!

Don’t change a thing, and use the best prosciutto you can find. This recipe is absolutely delicious.
