Chicken Wing Dip

Without the mess, this chicken wing dip tastes exactly like hot chicken wings. The football and tailgating seasons are ideal for it. Every time I have to bring a dish, I bring this, and I always get asked for the recipe. Add tortilla chips to the dish.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins
Total Time: 40 mins
Servings: 16

Ingredients

  1. 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  2. ¾ cup hot pepper sauce
  3. 2 cups diced cooked chicken
  4. 1 cup Ranch-style salad dressing
  5. 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix cream cheese and hot pepper sauce together in a medium bowl until well blended; stir in chicken, dressing, and Cheddar cheese. Spread into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until bubbly, about 30 minutes. If oil collects on the top, dab it off using a paper towel.

Buffalo native here… WHY RANCH?

This is the first and only chicken wing dip recipe that I have / will try. I consider the 3/4 cup hot sauce to be very mild and popular among those who like the dip, but not the kick. I will continue making this recipe for years to come.

Ranch dressing DOES NOT go in Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip

I love it and so does my family. The first time I made it, I followed the recipe completely. The next time I made it I added sweet green peppers and hotter pepper sauce. My family loved it as well. Another recipe added to my collection. Thank you

I made this recipe with the intentions of bringing it to an office “pot luck”. My husband…, who has never been a fan of chicken wing dip devoured it. Needless to say, it never made it to work with me the next day! Simple and delicious.. next time I am definitely doubling the recipe.. 2 cups of chicken only served a family of 4! …

Good, easy recipe. We use blue cheese instead. Let go Buffalo!

I followed the recipe exactly and holy smokes this is sooo good!!!! Made it for a gathering and people couldn’t get enough of it. Im making it for another gathering tonight and making two. Served it with chips and with celery.

I made this recipe as written with the exception of adding more chicken (approx 4 cups). Next time I would add even more. I thought there was way too much cream cheese to chicken . I would also increase the amount of chicken wing sauce or hot sauce and reduce the amount of dressing. Maybe up the amount of regular cheese if reducing the cream cheese. I am bringing it to work, so I am sure it will go despite what I think 🙂

I made this for church and served with fresh baked french bread and tortilla chips. They ate the whole thing.

This was pretty good but not to die for. I might make it again someday because it was so easy.

Family favorite! I used Ranch this time around, but might do half Ranch half Blue Cheese next time.

I wanted it more like chicken with sauce and not as saucy, so I added a can of cubed chicken I had. I think I would only use 8 oz of cream cheese next time. It is spicy and everyone liked it. I only did 1/2 cup of ranch – I don’t eat blue cheese as some others said to use. And less cheese. Definitely will make again.
