For optimal flavor, a sweet and sour sauce is applied to kielbasa sausage. Every party I’ve served this snack at has been a success.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups farfalle pasta
  2. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  3. ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  4. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  5. 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  6. ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil; add pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain, but do not rinse. Let sit for 2 minutes.
  2. Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  3. Meanwhile, transfer pasta to a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil; stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt until evenly combined. Arrange 1/4 of the pasta in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  4. Cook in the preheated air fryer for 5 minutes; flip and cook 2 to 3 minutes more. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and break apart any pasta chips that have stuck together; let cool completely. Repeat with remaining pasta.
  5. All air fryers are not created equal. Mine is just under 4 quarts and I was able to fit 1/4 of the pasta at one time.

These are addicting! I made half the recipe and I was able to air fry them all at once in my air fryer oven. My Cuisinart air fryer runs on the hot side and mine were done in 5 minutes. I did not need to flip them since both sides were crunchy. Next time I will add red pepper flakes. Thanks so much, Nikki for this delicious, simple and easy recipe!

the idea for these is so unorthodox yet genius. i used different seasonings and different timing but the premise was similar. i did 12 minutes on 350 and flipped at the four minute and eight minute mark. i seasoned with olive oil, salt, pepper, mushroom umami powder, black garlic powder, black truffle powder and white truffle oil. i didnt add any sauce or garnish and i made sure to toss them lazily instead of placing them next to eachother neatly in order to avoid them all having the same consistency. i’ve never made these and wanted to see which i liked best. i conveniently had a quarter pound of cooked plain farfalle in my fridge so i was blown away when i saw this was what you used aswell. i like the crunchier ones just as much as the chewier pieces so i would recommend being intentionally careless with your placement. mess with these and definitely add spice thank you for posting :).

I didn’t have any farfelle pasta so I used rotini I am not fond of Italian seasoning so I substituted roasted red pepper and garlic seasoning I will definitely make this again

I read that the farfelle and penne pastas could be chewy so I went another way and used wide egg noodles (wheat). I followed this recipe exactly except for that. Oh my! So crunchy but not in a tough way. I plan on trying different seasonings to change things up sometimes. If you do purple plan WW, 0 points!! (Sorry no photo. I ate them too fast)

These were such a huge disappointment. Not o love you were they crispy but some were so crispy they were not chewable. Most were rubber even. Not sure if it was user error but I had to toss them all out. The spices weren’t good the noodles were rubbery or way to overdone and I just wasn’t impressed. Will not make again.

I made this exactly as instructed. I’m not sure if the thermostat on my air fryer is not on the mark, but after the first 5 minutes at 400 degrees the pasta was already deep brown and was just under burned after flipping them for the final cooking. The second batch I cut back on the timing but had the same result. The third batch I reduced the temperature to 370 degrees and they came out much better. I thought the taste was good…just not sure I’ll make them again.

I made this with penne pasta because of course I was out of farfalle. I was really surprised by how good this was! I made the first batch really crunchy, and it was good, but I preferred when it was left more of a chewy texture. It was so yummy! Thanks for this idea! I will definitely make this again.
