Ingredients

  1. 1 ½ pounds fresh green beans, cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
  2. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  3. 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  4. ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  5. ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  6. ¼ teaspoon salt
  7. ½ cup crumbled blue cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine beans, olive oil, garlic, oregano, thyme, and salt in a microwave-safe dish.
  2. Cover and cook in the microwave on high, stirring twice, until beans are tender, 7 to 9 minutes. Stir in blue cheese. Serve immediately.

Easy, one dish and timing was perfect. Forgot to add the cheese – I had planned to use shredded Parmesan Made it again. Great! Added shredded Parmesan cheese.

This is my recipe, and my family always enjoys this flavorful method of serving green beans. We like bleu cheese, but mozzarella cheese also works well.
