My favorite Thai restaurant’s ground chicken basil most nearly follows this excellent recipe. None of the recipes I looked up had this genuine flavor. It’s also quick and simple! If you’d like, serve with steamed rice.

Ingredients

  1. 1 tablespoon butter
  2. 1 small underripe watermelon, quartered and cut into 1/2-inch slices
  3. salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook watermelon slices in melted butter until browned, 5 to 7 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper to serve.
