Ingredients
- 2 (15 ounce) cans cut green beans, drained
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 (2.8 ounce) can French fried onions
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Mix green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and 1/2 of the fried onions in a medium casserole dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven until heated through and bubbly, about 25 minutes. Sprinkle remaining onions over the top, and return to the oven for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

I love this recipe it is so good! I make it also with chopped chives and chopped onions and some mushrooms! Yummy
A family favorite! I use half and half instead of milk, I mix it with the soup in a bowl first so it’s well incorporated then I add frozen green beans that I’ve partially thawed, the onions and bacon bits. One year I had extra bacon bits and threw those in, bacon is now a must add.
I doubled the recipe so it took about an hour to cook and then I added the onions on top and cooked it for another 10-15 minutes and it was just amazing!
This was very easy and very tasty. I doubled it for a church pot luck and it was a big hit.

I used 3 cans of French style green beans, 1 can 22.6 oz can of mushroom soup, 1 tsp worstershire sauce, 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup sour cream! So yummy!

I only used 1/2 cup milk to make it creamier, I also substituted the onions with white cheddar ones I found at the grocery store ……it was a big hit at my husband’s Thanksgiving dinner at his work .
We use 2 bags of frozen, french cut beans. We also add a can of drained diced pimentos and drained can of water chestnuts, sliced up. Very good.

Used sour cream, and I added the onion/garlic like recommended in reviews, but still rather bland for us. Think I’ll go with the frozen beans next time and will use more garlic for flavor.
One of the best and simplest that I have found! Everyone loved it, no leftovers for me. I used French cut beans so they were tender. Otherwise I followed recipe to the letter!
I add Worcestershire and garlic powder. Prefer cut green beans over French style. Also, I use low sodium green beans and cream of mushroom soup so I can add as much salt as I like.
