Fabulous and fun gift! Everyone was so impressed. Also made Ree’s Festive Marinated Olives & Mexican Wedding cookies for gift baskets! Thank you Ree
So good. Mixed with sprite but next time I will be putting one or two leaves of basil. I thought The bunch of basil was overpowering.
I made this as a gift. The person I gifted it to is concerned the fruit is now toxic because it should have been strained out after 3 days. Is there a point where it needs to be strained? I didn’t think it did because it is in alcohol?
I made these a week ago to give as girlfriend gifts. The basil is overwhelming. Not sure what to mix this with—I suppose tonic?
Awesome idea!
Such a creative and wonderful gift! Fun to make and very useful using the fruit!
To all those asking about whether to refrigerate or not, infused alcohol with fresh fruit or herbs, like this recipe, should be refrigerated. If using dried spices or fruit, it can sit on the counter.
As for the fruit, you can strain it out and dispose of it, or you can leave it there. Personally, I like using the fruit in cocktails or just as a spiked snack, so I leave them in there.
I got the fruit and mixes done. Now what? We make our own drink? Do we refrigerate or on the counter? I feel lost. Pls help Pioneer women
Can gin be used instead of vodka?
Beautiful! Can’t wait to give as a gift!
