This is a great recipe from my wife , it’s a very versatile and make ya want to slap ya mouth together potato salad it can be chunky or creamed that’s up to y’all , hope ya enjoy
you got 30 mins cook time 10 mins prep. time
5 lbs Potato Cut into cubes about 1 to 2 inch pieces
1 tablespoon Celery Seed
1 tablespoon Celery Flakes
6 Hard boiled Eggs ( Diced )
2 cups of Mayo ( Prefer Duke’s Mayo )
1/2 cup Yellow Mustard
1 ( 12 oz ) jar of sweet or dill pickle cubes ( your Choice she uses the sweet )
1 Small Onion ( Diced , Optional )
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Sprinkle Paprika across the top for Garnish

Peel and rinse Potato’s, then cut the Potato’s into 1 to 2 inch cubes in large pot add cubed potato’s fill with water to cover the potato’s by about an inch or so add the Celery Seeds an also the Celery Flakes , bring to a boil and continue to boil over med/high heat about 20 minutes or until potato”s are soft ( check with a fork just push it into 1 or 2 cubes to make sure they are soft ) , Drain off all the water from the Potato’s ,
Mix in a large bowl the Potato’s , the Cube Pickles , Mayo , Mustard and diced Eggs mix well , now at this part you have to decide if you want the Chunky or Creamy if you want the Creamy it’s as easy as mixing the Salad with a Potato Masher to get the Creaminess you wish , once you get that just sprinkle the top with Paprika , Y’all Enjoy

This was a great quick and easy recipe. I loved it and will be making it again… I’m not sure what durkee sauce is so I used the suggested 1000 island dressing that was posted .. It turned out great.

This is my favorite potato salad recipe. If you cannot find Durkee’s Famous Sauce, Thousand Island dressing or Kraft Sandwich Spread make great substitutes.

This recipe is easy to follow. Although I added more ingredients to make more servings it still turned out beautifully. Truthfully I was skeptical about the “Durkee Sauce” only because I wasn’t familiar with it. However the durkee sauce gave the salad a wonderful fresh kick! Try it for yourself you’ll love it!

This is one of the best potato salad’s I’ve ever eaten. Not to mention the fact that it only took about 15 minutes to prepare it (after cook time).
