Ingredients

  1. 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  2. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  3. ½ teaspoon dried basil
  4. salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  5. 5 ounces crumbled goat cheese

Instructions

  1. Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven’s broiler.
  2. Combine asparagus, olive oil, basil, salt, and pepper on a sheet pan and mix well.
  3. Broil in the preheated oven until asparagus is cooked through and easily pierced with a knife, about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with goat cheese.

I liked it very much and for the first time and for the first time ever – my husband had seconds. He thought it was the best tasting asparagus he’d ever had. There was very little left over in our household of 3.

I liked this recipe very much. I used creamed goat cheese. Delicious. Thank you for the recipe. #allrecipesallstarscanada #facelessnomore

Asparagus is not my favorite veggie, this recipe made me at least like it. The cheese is creamy flavorful and a great partner with the Asparagus. Will repeat often.
