Ingredients

  1. olive oil for brushing
  2. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  3. 1 teaspoon honey
  4. ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  5. ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  6. 1 pound tri-colored baby carrots
  7. 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  8. 1 tablespoon butter
  9. 2 teaspoons chopped fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Brush an air fryer basket with olive oil.
  2. Whisk together 1 tablespoon olive oil, honey, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Add carrots and toss to coat. Place carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer, in batches, if needed.
  3. Cook in the air fryer at 390 degrees F (200 degrees C), stirring once, until tender, about 10 minutes. Transfer warm cooked carrots to a large bowl, add balsamic glaze and butter, and toss to coat. Sprinkle with chives and serve.
  4. You can substitute full-sized carrots for baby carrots; just halve any large pieces lengthwise, then cut into 2-inch lengths.

These are good and slightly sweet. Ten minutes was perfect in my air fryer. I think kids would go for this glaze. I want to try it on a bitter vegetable as well.

Easy and delicious. Didn’t include the balsamic or butter at the end, air fryed it a little longer and served with tahini on the side. Thanks for the great recipe

Sounds wonderful! I don’t have a Airfryer, though. Could I just make this in my oven? I’m thinking maybe some nuts to add a touch of protein could make it more of a meal.

Best. Carrots. Ever. Not too sweet, not too vinegary. And a nice, colorful presentation. Melt in your mouth goodness! I followed the recipe except for omitting the chives.

Perfect as written and these carrots would pair nicely with any protein of choice. I will definitely make again and this is 5 stars all the way!
