It was one of the best things I have made it a long time.
It’s OK as written. It tastes diluted so next time I will omit the ice and add more ice cream instead.
I have a very good blender, it can hold up to 64 ounces and is A Vitamix. when putting all the ingredients into the blender I could barely fit them, and that was because I had half the ingredients because it seemed like it was too much. I was correct it was too much because at the end I had about two servings when I had halved the ingredients. when it was in the blender I needed to add about a cup more milk because it couldn’t flow properly without it. It was almost a solid. Finally when I was actually able to drink it, it wasn’t even that good. It’s not bad but for all the hassle it didn’t live up to what it is supposed to be.
Pretty good. Next time I’ll add a few more strawberries & maybe a bit more sugar.
Recipe called for 4 cups of strawberries . Next time I would use 2 cups . More ice cream and milk to less strawberries.
It is the best shake I have ever tasted!!!
Yummy good
It was just okay, but I suspect it was my fault: too many changes to the original recipe, especially the percentage of specified ingredients used.
Update: I made this tonight and only difference was that I used strawberry ice cream instead of vanilla. It was not anywhere near as tasty as with vanilla. I will stick with vanilla ice cream only in the future. Original note: I cut this recipe in half, and it was plenty for 3 kids and 1 adult. I used 2 generous cups frozen strawberries, 1 c. ice, 1 c. heavy whipping cream, 2 c. vanilla ice cream (we didn’t have strawberry), and a little over 2 Tablespoons sugar. Yum!
Delicious. Cut in half and made a full size blender full. But very good. Made with vanilla almond milk. Next time gonna put bananas in it.
Great recipe just wish it didn’t use sugar.
Cut the recipe in half and a tablespoon of sugar and my son loves it!
Yes it good but there is something missing a cherry
Super yummy and easy. Didn’t have fresh on hand unfortunately, but luckily I had some Bluebell! Halved the recipe. It was delicious!!!!
Very good recipe! Like most of the reviews said, this IS NOT one serving. I QUARTERED the recipe and it made two full glasses. Other than that, it was very good. my sister and I each had one with redi-whip and some pink sprinkles. yummy for a hot summer day like today.
Mmmmm! I used frozen fresh berries, low fat vanilla almond milk and Stevia. I added half the milk and blended adding more milk to the desired consistency. Easy, quick and ingredients I always have on hand – perfect!
I halved the recipe and it made 4 servings , I used vanilla ice cream and more sugar
I didn’t have strawberry ice cream but I so wanted to make this. I did have vanilla ice cream, however, and pure strawberry extract. And just for extra measure, I added a little strawberry jam rather than the sugar. (I’d love to try this with some malted milk powder)
I added orange juice and a bannana to make it more smoothie/shake. The juice helps blend it better
This was sooo yummy. I added a little bit of extra ice cream because I didn’t have quite enough strawberries.. And it was soooo good.. Thanks so much for sharing your recipe!
This yields way more than 1 serving (maybe 4) and you must have a large blender to incorporate all ingredients. I halved the recipe and still had issues with the ingredients fitting into the blender.
