World’s Easiest and Most Amazing Two-Ingredient Dip

  4.2 – 4 reviews

This creamy dip tastes fantastic with steak and goes well with all things potato, especially fries and chips. Even on a sandwich with roast beef, it tastes delicious spread! No one knows what’s in it, but everyone loves it. Surprisingly, the two ingredients work better together than they do separately. Since other types of soy sauce I’ve tested tasted completely different and weren’t nearly as excellent, I strongly advise choosing Kikkoman® soy sauce.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Total Time: 5 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 1 cup

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup sour cream (such as Breakstone’s®)
  2. 2 tablespoons soy sauce (such as Kikkoman®)

Instructions

  1. Mix sour cream and soy sauce together in a bowl until evenly combined.
  2. You can add more or less soy sauce to taste – it’s hard to mess up.

I really liked this. Never would’ve thought to mix the two but I’ll make it again for sure. Thanks!

Making a comment more than a review: We always opt to use Coconut Aminos in place of soy sauce in all recipes. I was wondering if that change would translate well in this recipe. In my opinion, Coconut Aminos are yummy, so I would think the dip would be wonderful as well. Think I will try it on a small scale and report back.

Love the simplicity but just not for us. Made to dip on our fries; like I said, just not our preference. Glad we tried.

For as simple this was, it was REALLY good! The kids dipped potato chips in it earlier in the day and LOVED it. We used the rest as a dipping sauce for our steaks at dinner and that was yummy too! I will definitely be making this again! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
