I was in a hurry trying to find something quick to prepare. I came across this recipe and thought it would make for a great light meal, in terms of just having to make a quick white rice to accompany the fish. I did not follow all the steps for the first 5 pieces and instead poured the mix over the fish as it baked. It turned out 100x better than the sautéed ones. it had a very weird taste (the sautéed ones) and I almost puked. I guess I’ll be using my own version of the recipe from now on. The concept of the recipe is a very great one but it doesn’t deliver the best tasting Whiting.

We tried this recipe tonight and it was tough, chewy and we couldn’t finish it. It ended up tasting very oily and my family has written off this one. Sorry!

We tried this recipe last night and really did not care for it. I don’t fry many things, but I thought it would be worth a shot since I enjoy using garlic, parsley, and lemon when I fix fish. I didn’t use the entire lemon-oil mixture, but even what I used felt like too much. The fish tasted like it was drenched in oil to me and it made me feel a bit ill. I really wouldn’t recommend fixing this. There are better, healthier alternatives.

This recipe is really good. Strong, yes, but full of flavor. I even made it with cod and liked it more (but whiting is good too if you like a fishier taste.)

The taste was delicious and the recipe was an exercise in simplicity. Two things that make a meal great. Good company is the last ingredient to a perfect meal.

I really enjoyed this easy and delicious way to cook Whiting. I have done it in the oven and sauteed. Either way is delicious but I really think the sauce is what finishes it off.

I actually did not like the sauce over the sauteed whiting. The lemon juice and garlic was very potent. So, I baked a few pieces with the sauce for about 30 minutes. I think it was much better baked then fried. However, it was still delicious.

My family loved it!! I used wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour, and I used cilantro instead of parsley. Easy preparation!!

I made this for my grown kids and they all loved it. I did chunk a knob of butter into the frying pan with the olive oil, so the crust on the fish would brown. I made couscous with vegetables on the side to soak up more of the fish’s sauce.
