It didn’t work it wasn’t foamy it had way to much milk even when I cut the recipe in half. It was disgusting.

I’ve been avoiding the hype of dalgona/whipped coffee because I’m very picky about my coffee and didn’t think I’d like, especially because of the instant coffee, which I never buy. I have to say…I wish I would have tried it sooner! So good and easy to make! I used my little battery-powered hand-held milk frother and the foam was perfectly creamy and airy. What I like about this recipe is the ratio of water/coffee/sugar. The other recipes I’ve seen all call for double the sugar, which would be way too sweet for me. This one is a winner!

I have seen so many posts about this coffee, and I had to try it. I am not the greatest cook, but I had a lot of trouble with this particular recipe. After five minutes using a hand mixer, the consistency was still soup! I then added more coffee granules, a little at a time, until I was able to get a more solid consistency. I have since made this recipe, using different instant coffee granules, which were more coarse, and not as fine granules, which clearly helped. The biggest problem with this recipe, is the amount of water. I used 2 tablespoons of hot water.

Yoly, thank you for this recipe. I am one of those “obsessed “with whipped coffee. Whipping the instant coffee, sugar, and boiling water is such an unbelievably easy way to make an impressive coffee. I have tried several variations. Almond milk, coconut milk, whole milk, skim milk. I prefer very cold milk and no ice cubes. I have tried with hot milk, but the foam melts down quickly. I have used decaffeinated instant coffee, Swerve, and Splenda with good results. As the other reviewer commented, I have better success with a hand mixer as the beaters incorporate the air much more efficiently. Depending on my ratio of coffee, boiling water, and sweetener, I whip for 1 -2 minutes. I personally like the coffee foam to be very strong, so I use equal parts instant coffee, sweetener, and water.

The frothing was a little hard as I don’t have a frother. But it still turned out.

Very good.

I like the ratio of water is more than coffee and sugar. Other recipes are 1:1:1 and makes the foam way to strong. This one is perfect.

We really liked this. I had alot of foam so I just stirred and stirred until some of it integrated into the milk.. Definately a keeper.

I switched to an electric mixer after a few minutes and that gave me a foamier texture. It was great over coconut milk. Thanks for the recipe, Yoly!
