Ingredients

  1. 3 cups blueberries
  2. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  3. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  4. 1 cup white sugar
  5. 1 egg, beaten
  6. 6 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Place blueberries in a 6×10-inch baking dish. Sprinkle lemon juice over blueberries.
  3. Whisk flour, sugar, and egg together in a bowl until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; spread over blueberries. Drizzle butter over flour mixture.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until cobbler is bubbling, about 30 minutes.

Doubled amount of blueberries in 13 x 9 glass Pyrex and added maybe 1/4 cup more flour. Baked extra 5-10 minutes to brown top. Tastes delicious! So easy to make will do so again now that blueberry picking season is here and blueberry patch only 10 minutes away! Will buy vanilla ice cream to add next time but terrific as is!

It was tasty, but there was too much liquid. The crust never formed. It was good with vanilla ice cream. I wonder if the issue was using wild Maine blueberries.

Just made this today and once it came out of oven did not give a chance to cool before trying. (so no pictures…lol) Would make this again without a doubt. Very easy. Made as written and baked in a cast iron skillet.. The bubbling of juices. WOW!!!

This was the easiest dessert ever! Call it a cobbler, dowdy, buckle, or a crisp, it was great. I made it just as it was written and even used half fresh berries and half frozen ones since I didn’t have enough of either. (Rinse the frozen berries and dry with paper towel to remove moisture.) I cooked it 3 minutes longer than stated to achieve a light golden brown crust. It was perfect! I would say it actually serves 6-8 (or maybe our servings were larger because it was so good).

This Blueberry Cobbler is super easy to make and so good. Followed recipe exactly and it turned out perfect! Served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Delicious! Added cinnamon to the second one and it was even better. Probably only serves 4 if you have seconds.

Perfect for when you’re craving blueberry cobbler but don’t have time/energy or are out of milk. It was simple and easy, and I loved it warm and topped with vanilla bean ice cream! Delicious! I followed the recipe (I used fresh blueberries) aside from a slight error when my mom forgot to put the lemon juice in before the topping and poured it all in on one side, but I tried to get it to move around. It still came out 10/10 in my opinion.

It was delicious! I followed the recipe as stated except I used thawed frozen fruit, so I let it bake about 20 minutes longer (which took away the “too juicy” comment others mentioned). I wish I hadn’t baked it as long, because I think I would have preferred a little juicier. The crust sank into the fruit, probably due to the frozen fruit. It was a “crumble” more than a cobbler. Thanks for the recipe!

LOVE this recipe!! The only change I made was adding 1/2 cup of fresh strawberries (diced) because I only had 2 1/2 cups of blueberries. So simple and absolutely delicious!!

This was really good.. just a little too sweet for us. Also with the butter, wasn’t as crumbly as we like.. So I made it again, added a 4th cup of berries, cut the sugar back to 2/3 cup, added 3-4 tbs of melted butter to the flour/sugar mix. (not over the top) Then before baking sprinkled a little cinnamon and brown sugar on the top.. It was fantastic. Served with some vanilla ice cream on the side. Finished off in one sitting.

I’ve made this many times, first the way it was written, then a few variations. I’ve used blueberries, blackberries, and today strawberries. I usually cut the butter into small pieces and freeze it to put un the top before baking. It’s great however it’s made, and easy to boot. Can’t beat that!
