Yield: 8 sliders

Ingredients

  1. 20 ounces frozen waffle fries
  2. 1 pound ground beef
  3. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
  5. 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  6. 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  7. 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  8. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  9. 2 slices American or Cheddar cheese, quartered
  10. 4 baby Bibb lettuce leaves, torn into small pieces
  11. 8 teaspoons ketchup
  12. 8 teaspoons mayo
  13. 8 thin slices small red onion
  14. 8 slices Roma tomato
  15. 8 dill pickle slices

Instructions

  1. For the fries: Bake the waffle fries according to the instructions on the package.
  2. For the slider patties: Add the ground beef to a bowl and mix together with the garlic powder, lemon pepper, seasoned salt, salt and pepper. Mix together well with your hands and form eight 2-ounce patties. Set the patties aside on a plate.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes. Flip the patties and allow them to cook for 30 to 45 seconds, then top each patty with a quarter slice of cheese. Cover the skillet and cook for another 3 minutes. (The lid will help the cheese melt over the patties.)
  4. Remove the patties to a plate.
  5. For the sliders: Top a waffle fry with a piece of lettuce, then top with 1 teaspoon ketchup and 1 teaspoon mayo. Add red onion and a patty on top. Top the patty with a Roma tomato slice and then a pickle slice. Place a waffle fry on top and secure with a toothpick. Repeat 7 more times and enjoy!

These are fun and tasty for game day. I’ve even done them with the flat tater tot crowns instead of waffle fries. Both are great.

Very yummy recipe and cute. A fun mess. Flavorful burger. Ended up being on the spicy side with the fries I bought (seasoned). Would definitely make again!
