Ingredients
- ¼ cup chopped onions
- ½ jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 3 tablespoons taco seasoning
- ¼ cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 12 (6 inch) flour tortillas
Instructions
- Place onions, jalapeno, and garlic in a grill pan over medium heat; cook and stir until fragrant, about 3 minutes. Stir in ground turkey, taco seasoning, and green bell pepper. Cook and stir until turkey is completely cooked through, 20 to 30 minutes. Divide turkey mixture among the tortillas.

Pretty good and quick taco filling. I made in a regular skillet. There was no need to cook the ground turkey for 20 to 30 minutes! It was done in 15 minutes. I added some chopped cilantro and a few drops of lime juice at the end.

We really liked these! I used less ground turkey and a whole packet of taco seasoning. I also ended up having to add a bit of water b/c it seemed dry to me. I didn’t have any green peppers on hand, so I had to omit those. Served these with all the usual taco toppings. All in all, the family enjoyed this ‘healthier’ version of one of our favorite meals…Thanks for sharing. 🙂
