I suggest a good Italian Medina balsamic vinegar be used. It makes the world odd difference.
Simple, elegant, and fresh. Yum. Thank you for sharing. This is a keeper!
I was worried that the balsamic vinegar would overpower this dish but my husband and I enjoyed it. I would definitely make this again.
Easy, delicious, pretty
Fast, easy and so good! I usually this as an appetizer…
I have been making this for years! Can’t wait every summer for fresh locally grown tomatoes. This salad is the best! This recipe neglects to specify that it’s FRESH mozzarella that is the ingredient. The picture shows it, but if you have never made it, you might not know.
My favourite!
Excellent recipe.. so easy. I circled a large Platter with the home-grown sliced tomatoes, alternating with sliced mozzarella, and topping with basil. I modified it by filling the center of the platter with sliced avocados, and sprinkling the salad with slivered almonds and croutons. I lightly sprinkled an olive oli and a garlic dressing over the Platter. It was so delicious. My guests devoured it.
Delicious and simple
Used Nonna Pias Balsamic Glaze. Very good. Thank you for sharing:)
Super easy to make and very forgiving. A refreshing salad while tomatoes are in season!
Used all ingredients as per recipe. We loved it and do not feel the vinegar was overpowering. Using a good quality balsamic vinegar is key. Thanks for a great recipe , will be using over and over in my family.
Yummiest
Easy to prepare, easy for your guest to eat!!
Yum
Used sliced cherry tomatoes and I cubed the mozzarella. Same great flavors!
I liked this with red wine vinegar. Not a balsamic fan.
I used my home brewed apple cider vinegar, in place of balsamic which can be overpowering. Black Krim tomatoes from the garden also help with their big flavor.
I regularly use this recipe with some additions . I double the dressing and add a clove of garlic and some fresh basil and blend with my immersion blender then serve it all over greens of your choice and add some garden cucumbers and peppers chopped small for a little extra pizzazz!! Presents beautifully and never disappoints!!
Next time I will cut the olive oil, balsamic, salt and pepper in half. The full recipe leaves a runny mess on the bottom of the serving plate.
I just used ready made balsamic dressing. Fast and easy.
