Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/3 cup lime juice
- 2 ounces blanco tequila
- 1/2 ounce pomegranate liqueur
- 1 ounce homemade sour mix
- 2 ounces blood orange soda
- Blood orange slice (or regular orange slice), for garnish
Instructions
- Make the sour mix: Bring the sugar and 1/2 cup water to a boil in a saucepan, stirring to dissolve. Stir in the lemon and lime juice, then let cool completely; store in the refrigerator.
- Combine the tequila, pomegranate liqueur and sour mix in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until very cold, 10 to 15 seconds.
- Strain the drink into a glass filled with ice. Top with the blood orange soda and garnish with the blood orange slice.
