Simply put, this chili has the best flavor. It is preferred by my family over beef chili. I enjoy setting out toppings like cheese, sour cream, cilantro, onion, and bell pepper for people to help themselves with.

Really good & easy chili. Add or subtract what you like. Last night I made it and added corm, oregano, and a bit of unsweetened cocoa powder. Great recipe!
Not very flavorful. We had to add more chili powder, salt, and cayenne at the table. Might make again but will taste along the way and adjust spices.
It turned out great. The ingredients are simple to get. Mix everything together and dinner is served. I added a little more seasoning such as extra Cheyenne pepper, garlic and onion powder, and seasoning salt to liven it up. Everyone loved it.
Delicious, great as is, but did chg a few things up; used chipotle chili pepper vs. chili powder. Doubled all of the seasonings with the exception of black pepper and crushed red pepper flakes, used a total of 5 cups of dry beans that I precooked (equal parts pinto, black, kidney) vs. can – toss the can beans dry taste so much better. Cooked on low for 2 hrs. Served with raw and green onions, cheese, sour cream with chili cheese Fritos. Boy oh boy was it delicious.
Loved it! Family loved it! Only left out Bay leaves. Just a personal choice.
The wine was a great addition!! I added chili in adobo, a must for all chili’s in my opinion! Also added red/ green peppers and more onion then recipe called for. Used fresh parsley and cilantro and a cup of frozen corn. Good overall base recipe but as with all chilis can be tweaked to ones own preferences.
Very good. I usually use a couple cans of kidney beans so this was an unusual, but very good mix.
It was delicious after I added 3 T more tomato paste, 1 tsp garlic salt, 2 T sugar and 1/2 tsp basil, and used cannellini beans! My husband loved it!
Love this recipe, great flavor. I only used 1 tablespoon chili powder
We found this chili flat on taste sorry. Certainly not the best we’ve ever had. We added more seasonings which is somewhat of an improvement.
This was a good base recipe for me. I added garlic salt to taste and an additional clove of garlic ~1 teasp I used 1 full teaspoon of pepper flakes 1/2 cup of red wine (sweet – not dry – was on hand) pulled back on the cumin better cooked in the crock pot added corn (3/4 cup) served with cheddar; nacho chips. Enjoyed by the entire family
Added a 15.5 oz can of pinto beans with Jalapenos. This is better than beef chili
SPECTACULAR SUPER YUMMY !!!!!
Very good and quick to make
It was exceptional. Substituted chickpeas for pintos. It gets better with time. Yum!
Best ever! My hubby hates meals that use ground turkey but he never made a peep and ate serving after serving.
Made as written, served with rice and corn bread, accompanied with cheese, onions, cilantro and hot sauce. Delicious, definately a keeper!
This recipe turned out great. I made it with all the listed ingredients in organic form. The only substitution I made was to use Organic Diced Tomatoes rather than the Crushed tomatoes. My husband and I enjoyed it that way.
Delicious!!!
Didn’t have pinto beans but, in my opinion, didn’t need. It was great!
Perfect just made as per the recipe.
