I have just made up this recipe I didn’t have any Worcestershire I cut the balsamic vinegar I added a honey mustard and I used a steak seasoning because I didn’t have any fresh garlic and the seasoning from Omaha Steak had some in it I will have to comment on whether this is a good recipe or not later since I’m marinating away right now. I’m now worried about the vinegar taste being too strong after reading a comment below but I plan on probably rinsing the meat before I throw it on the grill just to get the excess off of it. So far so good it was a very easy recipe and it was easy to make substitutions. I would give it a four star rating for how easy it is to put together Well we just finished dinner and my husband really liked the flavor the balsamic vinegar really does cook off there was no vinegar flavor. It looks like rubbed meat when you’re done it’s got a beautiful flavor and color I will definitely be doing this recipe again and I think not having the Worcestershire did not make any difference to the flavor also I added some red onions. I would highly recommend this recipe

So I removed the worcestershire sauce completely, cut the vinegar portion in half, added dried thyme, oregano, and bay leaves, with some lemon to cut the vinegar and saltiness, added 2 tablespoons date syrup and it came out spectacular.

Have made something like this before. I added a little brown sugar to cut the vinegar. Love it.

This marinade slaps! I used some red wine as well and used fish sauce instead of the soy and Worcestershire, and it turned out amazing! I actually only marinaded it for 10 minutes or so and then used the leftover marinade to make a sauce. It was really fantastic, everyone said they were the best steak tips they’d ever had! My mom even said, “This is what I want when I order steak tips”! Thanks for the recipe! Highly recommend!!

Wouldn’t use this on a nice cut of beef, but it’s ok for cheaper cuts. Very vinegary. I would cut the balsamic and Worcestershire sauce in half or just replace the balsamic with beer for better flavor.

the best so tender even on cheaper cuts of beef

Long time lurker – first time poster. I love Allrecipes. So many great recipes and folks give GREAT tips. I made this baby as is … my husband works for a steakhouse. Hands down best steaks (marinaded) we have ever had. Making it again today because EVERYONE (including picky 13 yr old) loved it. Thank you for sharing this great recipe.

This may be good but the best and simplest marinate for steak is store bought Italian dressing. Leave it marinating over night and it is tender and flavorful.

Made exactly as written. We marinated one steak and not the other. The marinated steak was SO much more tasty. I only started this marinating about 3 hours before cooking. Can’t wait to try it when done overnight. This is going in my recipe book!

My husband loved this recipe, we used it on a reversed grilled Denver Steak. It turned out very tender and delicious. I followed the recipe . I also enjoyed this marinade, it’s a keeper.

Used this with a strip loin as part of our New Year’s Eve dinner. Marinated for about 3 hrs in the fridge and moved to the counter about a hour before it was grilled on our stove top cast iron grill. Will DEF use again. Steak was tender and tasty!

This was awesome! added little fresh rosemary, parsley, and thyme. Then let it marinate for 6 hours. pat dry, remove any sprigs, and grill!

This was so easy. I am going to try it using hoisin sauce or terriyaki at a future date. I might cut down a little on the balsamic, but it has become my new “go-to” marinade. I am going to try what some others suggested in the reviews–turning it into a sauce or glaze and using it with vegetables.

This is a very good recipe but like other have said, double the recipe EXCEPT for the olive oil, then add cornstarch to the left over marinade and boil. I use this thickened sauce on top of grilled baked potatoes, or drizzle some on a grilled ear of corn on the cob. HUGE hit in my house and at get togethers!

Made as written. Was enough to marinate 3 lbs of top sirloin; 3 rib eyes, 4 tenderloins. Marinated and froze them all for sous vide later. Very similar recipe to what I normally use, with the addition of mustard. We’re going to love it. Thanks for easy to remember portions.
