Korean taco trucks appear to be really popular right now. I was looking for a method of making those savory, sweet tacos at home.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 1 hr
Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins
Servings: 15

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

It was ok…I think my bananas were too ripe maybe. I might try a recipe that has maybe more spices.

Easy to make, and my daughter loves it. Could use a little more flavor, and mine was cooked all the way through, but a little on the dry side. Will definitely try again.

I like simple recipes that lend themselves to customizations, and this is one of them. As-is, this is a good recipe that is easy to prepare and has a pleasing banana-to-flour ratio that produces a moist loaf that is not dense. As with any banana bread recipe, use VERY ripe bananas! I wait for mine to be way more brown than yellow before using them. I gave this four stars because I think it needs a little salt. I tweak this most of the time to use 1/2 tsp kosher salt, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, and half white/half dark brown sugar This is my go-to banana bread!

Flavourful and super-fast and easy! I added grated carrots for a double batch. I poured out the loaf first, then I added a bunch of raisins I’d been soaking in boiling water and made the second batch into muffins. I baked the muffins for about 15 minutes and they turned out wonderfully.

Turned out perfect

We’re going vegan, so I substituted apple sauce for the eggs. Turned great, very moist!

I did not notice when I was making this that there is no salt in the recipe, so we thought they were quite bland. Very very moist.

My family loves this recipe. I add extra bananas!! Yummy!!!

I used butter in place of margarine. Added a half cup of dark brown sugar. More banana doesn’t hurt the bread at all. Added tsp. vanilla, sometimes a Tbs of spiced rum. sprinkle nuts on top before baking. Delish bread recipe!

This is the recipe my Mom used starting before 1948 when my sister was born. It is critical to let the batter rest for 15 minutes. That’s how it comes out high. So many people make it goopy and I don’t like it. It’s especially good fresh out of the oven and cooled just until warm.

I made this in a bundt pan & I added a lil more banana, more like 2 cups. Omg it tastes sooo good. A perfect crust & a moist delectable interior. My whole house smells like bananas lol. Absolutely delicious.

I loved this recipe I even added a layer of banana slices in the middle to keep it moist and add an extra boost of flavor.

I used butter instead of margarine and added walnuts but the result came out a bit on the dry side with not much banana taste.

Super easy recipe to follow. The cake came out delicious and I got high marks from loved ones. The only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 was because some baked goods aren’t complete without adding the beautiful combo of vanilla essence, fresh grated nutmeg and ground cinnamon powder – I think that’s what makes it the best, better than all the shop bought stuff. So, while I followed the how-to of the recipe I knew I had to add the extra flavour, which the recipe did not consider.

After reading a few of the reviews, I knew I had to try it. So, I bought some bananas and made sure they were extra ripe. I also made sure to follow the exact recipe and instructions. I made sure to do EVERYTHING the recipe said because if you’re telling me that this is the “Best Banana Bread,” I’ll ever have the pleasure of eating. It better be all that and then some, LOL. BTW, the recipe was super easy to follow, and it’s probably one of the easiest recipes I’ve tried in a long time. So thumbs up for that! Now, onto the real tea. Let’s get into this recipe. I gotta say…..I wouldn’t say it’s “The Best,” but it’s definitely not the worst. I may even try it again…I’m still on the fence. BUT if I do I’ll need to add a little more flavor. Some cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract. You get the idea. Overall I’ll give this recipe a 4 out of 5 stars.

This is such an easy and delicious recipe! I had 3 very overripe bananas that I needed to use and the rest of the ingredients are pantry staples I always have. I added the 1/2 cup chocolate chips as the video suggested, but I also added 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 cup chopped pecans. The outcome was a tender cake with a crunchy top. I really like to eat it warm, slathered in butter.

We added a finely diced apple and a tsp of cinnamon and vanilla for more flavor! Perfect for late summer baking!
