One of my husband’s favorite slow cooker dishes is a crockpot pork roast. Typically, I serve it with sugar snap peas and buttered egg noodles.

I loved it, and my husband loved it too. It was so easy to prepare and the results were yummy!!
Amazingly great recipe. Quick and easy to prepare. I added vegies -additional potatoes and onions, along with celery and carrots. I would recommend doubling the sauce. it makes a great gravy and dipping sauce for sandwiches. Absolute gold,
This roast had a wonderful taste and was so tender. Next time I will use only have the amount to vinegar. I did double the amount of garlic powder and added the same amount of onion powder. I cooked fresh carrots with the roast. I will definitely make this again.
I cooked the pork loin for 6 hours. It was tender and flavorful. I did not change the recipe. The next time I will add a little more hot pepper sauce. I shredded the left over pork, added BBQ sauce and made pulled pork sliders!
It was delicious. The pork was super tender.
This has become a staple in our household. It has just enough tang to make it interesting with mashed potatoes and green beans, but not enough to overwhelm the pork. If you happen to have leftovers, it’s versatile enough to use later in the week for pork tacos, or barbecue sandwiches or our favorite, pressed Cuban sandwiches.
Made it as the recipe calls, put it in a slow cooker bag. Added mashed potatoes and asparagus. Turned out delicious- and barely any clean up.
There is a simple – yet very important – step that made a huge difference to the outcome of this dish the second time I made it: I put all of the ingredients (except the onions and the pork) into a small saucepan and boiled them down into a thick glaze. I then poured that over the pork roast in the slow cooker. If you skip this step, the watery ingredients will simply fall to the bottom of the cooker, where there is already plenty of water. It may season the vegetables a bit, but not the pork above. By making a thick syrup out of it, the flavorings will stay on the pork as it cooks, and give it a tantalizing glazed finish, too. The only changes I made to the ingredients themselves was that I used brown sugar instead of white, and left out the added salt – since the soy sauce and ketchup already have ample amounts.
It was different compared to the usual pork dish in the household, but in a good way. I actually had it on high for 2 hours high and 2.5 hrs slow… may have over cooked the pork a little as it’s a tad bit dry in some parts.. but overall do-able and good.
Substitute Worcestershire sauce for soy and added 2 tablespoons of bourbon. So easy and tasted wonderful.
you could easily triple the seasoning. it was very bland. but tender enough to make bbq pulled pork.
This turned out great! The only change I made was to add chunks of potatoes and carrots. I did double the sauce although I ended up throwing a lot away after we all poured it over everything on our plates and loved every bite. I don’t understand reviewers who said it was too bland. It wasn’t! It was perfect! Also, it seemed a lot of reviewers changed the recipe before trying it. Don’t do that to a recipe someone has posted. Post it as a different recipe. This one is great as is. Our whole family loved it. I will be making it again and again. Thank you so much for sharing it.
I made this as written only cutting up potatoes and carrots and adding them to the onions. Then I made a gravy with the drippings by cooking 2 TBSP of melted butter and 2 TBSP of flour into a roux. Then adding 1 cup of the drippings slowly while whisking. I added a little milk until I got the consistency that I like.
I do Keto and so I had to make some changes plus I had a 3 1/2 lb. roast so I increased every thing by 1/3. Also all my ingredient were organic and grass fed for the most part. Instead of water i used Chicken Bone Broth, Walmart brand of Splenda, and I add some Paprika. It was some super tender that when I touched it it fell into pieces which was a good thing and the taste was AWESOME
My roast was 4.8 pounds, so I had to alter the cook time and additional ingredients. I doubled all seasonings, but still felt this was lacking in flavor. I should have read the reviews before cooking. Oh well. lesson learned. My 13 year old daughter ate it, and she doesn’t like tangy flavors, but my husband and I both thought it was a bit bland. We added additional flavor at the table, so it turned out ok!
second time made added sauerkraut to dish bam
Sorry, but I have to agree with reviewers who said this didn’t have much flavor. Perhaps it would be better with less water, but I won’t make it again.
Easy, but I didn’t think it had much flavor. Won’t make again. Still looking for yummy slow cooker pork recipe.
Wouldn’t change a thing! This is wonderful, so tender!!I added potatoes and carrots in crockpot was it.
Followed the recipe , the Roast was larger so we doubled it but it was delicious. Will definitely keep it in the wheel house
Bland and dry even though I cooked it on the lower time. Sadly no edible leftovers.
