I think and the family thought that there was too much chili powder and too much cayenne pepper. If I ever make it again I will cut those Ingredients in half. Other than that it was not a bad meal.
OMG this was deeeelicious! Halved the recipe and cooked it an 8×8 and turned out AMAZING. Followed the recipe as written but I’ll add a little extra sour cream next time. Perfect for potlucks and definitely a keeper.
I made this for Cinco de Mayo last year and I’m making it again this year. It is always a big hit with everyone. I added sliced black olives and jalapeno slices and served the sour cream on the side. I used Pepper Jack in place of Monterey Jack. Yum!
We all LOVED the taste but mine seemed a bit too dry. I followed the recipe exactly. I will make again and maybe add refried beans like others did and a little extra water. Thanks for this yummy recipe!
I sometimes add in sliced black olives.
Love this recipe! I added some smoky paprika to the spices and make sure to use a thicker salsa or drain some of the liquid from your fav. I garnished mine with some taco sauce and offered some chipotle hot sauce for the spice lovers at the table!
This is scrumptious!
OMG! They INHALED it and wanted more! Very very good!
Delicious! I used hatch green chili corn & wheat tortillas and they were amazing! I made 1/2 the recipe and we had leftovers all week (there’s just 2 of us). 🙂
TASTE AMAZINGG! Recommend 10/10
great meal for the family… added hot green chilis for a nice kick
It’s awesome. The best received lasagna in the neighbor. This was a little bit time consuming for me but the time was well worth it. My neighbors, my husband, and I loved it. It is a keeper recipe.
I made this with low carb tortilla and enjoyed it during the Super Bowl without derailing my diet. I also added in diced chipotle peppers. Yum!
This was delicious! I made it just as written. Only added chopped bell peppers to the meat while browning. My grandkids loved it. This will be a regular menu item from now on.
I love this recipe. I do add spinach with my layers.
I misread the recipe when I made this and used tortilla chips. I didn’t realize it until I went to make it again and read it a bit closer…I stayed with the corn chips and it
It turned out great…family enjoyed it. I added 1 can of refried bean to the layers, putting dollops of it over the ground beef mixture. I’ll be adding this to our future menu plans!
as I was making it…Ibwas nervous about me and my family living it. Well thankfully there was nothing to worry about. EVERYONE….even my 6 yr old loved it (we had it for breakfast). I didn’t make too many changes. I always season my meat with seasoning salt, seasoned pepper, and onions before I add my taco seasoning so I still did that. I did have to make some changes so my daughter could eat it which included only making half the lasagne without salsa, and instead using chopped tomatoes. I also omitted the cayenne pepper since it might have made it too spicy (for her). I also took the suggestion of using flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas. I used EVOO spray to grease the pan which made the bottom layer extremely difficult to cut through (but still edible)…I think I may try butter next time??. This is definitely a keeper!
This dish was so easy to put together and my husband really liked it as an alternative to taco tuesday. Will definitely make again.
Easy and simple to make. And SO delicious!! I made this with my sister who is a picky eater and even she really liked it! What we did a little differently: put the salsa through a food processor so it was smooth instead of chunky for my sister, and no green onions on half for her. This is sure to be a favourite.
Made it for my family. The only change I made was to use flour tortillas . A nice zing with the spices, easy prep and per the family, a keeper recipe.
