Sweet and Spicy Ginger Beer Pulled Pork

This recipe makes excellent pickles for the fridge. You can make a fantastic bread-and-butter-style pickle in just 24 hours. In the summer, I make my own pickles, which I adore making for my loved ones. They never keep for the whole three weeks in the refrigerator!

Super flavorful and juicy. Im surprised at anyone else’s feedback that said this dish lacked flavor. I added baby carrots and celery to the call for onion to this recipe. The juice from the meat, veg, and ginger beer is incredibly good as an au jous. I served this more pot roast style than classic pulled pork. Scrumptious!

Easy recipe to follow. Smoked Paprika was a great spice for this. Will make again

I thought it would have a little more flavor to it. It was juicy and was versatile enough to use in a variety of other recipes. I used a local brewer’s Ginger Lime Agave Beer which is SO delicious, I have it often and had high hopes using it in this recipe.

This is probably the best pulled pork recipe I’ve made thus far!! Mixed with a Carolina BBQ sauce and was happier than was probably reasonable

Easy and tasty! Can go with a lot of side dishes. My husband actually made this while I was at work. #thankscovid

I’m making it right now and it smells so good! However, I did tweak the recipe by adding some minced garlic and ginger root. Another commenter said the ginger beer didn’t add enough flavor so I remedied that right up!

Good flavor and easy to make.

Instead of ginger beer, I used a can of ginger ale. (I used Zevia brand as we are trying to limit our sugar). I used 2T dark molasses instead of brown sugar– just because I love the flavor. If some in family like BBQ sauce in their pulled pork, no problem. They can add it to their serving.

Great recipe all the family enjoyed the meal thanh you

This did not meet my expectations at all. I even bought the ginger beer (had to buy six pack so was hoping for great results) but was disappointed. The pork was fine after I added Hawaiian Islands original BBQ sauce so the pork was not wasted, but I’ll not make this again.

This was really good! Used “Not Your Fathers Ginger Ale”. Worked great. Wonderful flavor. Served up on corn tortillas, diced tomatos, sour cream, and cilantro. Yum! Thank you!

This recipe was easy to get together and was different than any pulled pork I have had before. I had never tried ginger beer before and it had a spicy kick, so, I was excited about the flavor it would give the pork. Unfortunately, I didn’t taste any of the ginger in the pork. That being said, we still really enjoyed the pulled pork. It had a nice smokiness from the smoked paprika and a slight spice from the red pepper flakes. Very tasty!

This was delicious. I used a pork loin roast for a leaner pulled pork. Smelled wonderful while slow cooking. Like the hint of ginger.
