Susan’s Key Lime Martini

slighty dense and stuffed full of blueberries. In this recipe, I’ve used unfed sourdough starter trash; however, active sourdough can also be utilized. A somewhat fluffier muffin will result from using active sourdough.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 10 mins
Servings: 2
Yield: 2 cocktails

Ingredients

  1. 1 graham cracker, crushed into fine crumbs
  2. 2 lime wedges
  3. 1 ½ fluid ounces vanilla flavored vodka
  4. ½ fluid ounce melon liqueur (such as Midori®)
  5. 2 ½ fluid ounces pineapple juice
  6. 1 dash almond flavored syrup
  7. 1 cup whipped cream
  8. 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Spread the graham cracker crumbs onto a small, shallow plate. Moisten the rims of 2 martini glasses with the lime wedges; reserve the lime wedges. Dip the moistened glasses into the graham cracker crumbs and set aside. Reserve the lime wedges and remaining graham cracker crumbs to use as a garnish.
  2. Pour the vodka, melon liqueur, pineapple juice, almond syrup, and whipped cream into a cocktail shaker over ice. Cover and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted. Strain into the rimmed glasses. Place a lime wedge on the edge of each glass and sprinkle the cocktails with some of the reserved graham cracker crumbs to garnish.

Not as much key lime flavor as I would have liked but still very good and super easy!

This was super easy to make, very pretty and tasted great. Didn’t have almond syrup so I used a drop of almond flavoring, but it really didn’t need it. The second time I made it, I used half of the whipped cream and didn’t miss it. Definitely will make this one again!
