Reviews
Very tasty, I doubled the vodka and had to use more lemon juice. Very refreshing drink.
Super yummy and easy to make!! Like other reviewers I purchased vanilla infused vodka – used Stoli Vanil which made it really smooth.
Great for sipping in the pool or vacation getaways. Has anyone experimented with any other flavors? I did use vanilla infused purchased vodka to avoid time delay, but so so pleased.
I just got home from getting a bottle of what was supposed to be vanilla vodka, instead it was pear flavor. I went for the gusto and used pear vodka in the place. I was pleasantly surprised at the unique flavor. It took away some of the extra sweet and left you with a moreish taste.
Why is this recipe under “kid friendly”?
I RECENTLY MADE THIS RECIPE FOR A PARTY & FOLLOWED SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE MORE IN ADVANCE & FREEZE. WOW WHAT A HIT!!! INITIALLY IT WAS SO STRONG THAT I WAS WORRIED IT WOULD BE TOO MUCH, BUT EVERYBODY LOVED IT. I DID TWEAK THE 2ND BATCH ITH A LITTLE MORE SIMPLE SUGAR1/8 CUP & THEN IT REALLY WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. I COULDN’T MAKE IT FAST ENOUGH
GOING TO TRY SUNNY’S WATERMELON MOJITO NEXT
THANKS SONNY
This is the best vodka lemonade I have ever had. You really cant beat homemade lemonade. I do suggest using regular vodka though as well as doubling the recipe
When having a party, I pre-make the lemon and simple syrup mixture and then freeze several batches in ziploc bags. If we run out during the festivities (which we always do), I pull one out of the freezer, toss in a pitcher, add the vodka, and stir. It gives my guests the feeling of a handmade cocktail without the pain of bartending all evening. Also, I’ve made the recipe with inexpensive brand name citrus vodka and with the homemade vanilla, and both are a big hit (although the citrus is preferred). Just be careful, it tastes so good you’ll be tipsy before you know it!
I have made this a few times. I let the vodka infuse for a few days instead of only over night. The second time I made this I added twice as much vodka as called for! Woo… it’s very tasty. I’ll continue to make this.
Should I spend a little bit more money and het a higher end vodka or would something like smirnoff taste just the same in this drink? Haha, I gave this 5 stars just so I wouldnt mess up the nice rating it recieved.
This was amazing. I made two batches, one with vanilla vodka and the other with lime vodka. The lime vodka was yummy!!!!. This will be a staple on our summer menu. It is quick, easy and wallet friendly. It taste so good, that I forgot that I was drinking alcohol. You WILL need a designated driver!!!
HAPPY DRINKING!!!
