This stir-fried beef dish is delicious!

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 40 mins
Additional Time: 5 mins
Total Time: 55 mins
Servings: 8
Yield: 1 9×5-inch meatloaf

Ingredients

  1. 2 pounds ground beef (80% lean)
  2. ½ cup mayonnaise
  3. ¼ cup Italian-style bread crumbs
  4. 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  5. 1 teaspoon granulated onion
  6. ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  7. ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  8. 2 tablespoons steak sauce (such as A.1.®)
  9. 2 tablespoons ketchup
  10. 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix ground beef, mayonnaise, bread crumbs, mustard, onion, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl until well combined. Transfer mixture to a 9×5-inch loaf pan with high sides. Form into a loaf by picking it up and forcing it down into the pan, making sure to knock out any air and square off all sides.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Spin pan and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
  4. Mix steak sauce, ketchup, and sugar together in a small bowl.
  5. Remove from the oven and spoon sauce over top. Bake until no longer pink in the center, about 10 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
  6. Remove form the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Remove meat loaf to a serving platter and slice into 8 slices.

We really liked this meatloaf. I added a bit more ketchup than called for. I always place two slices of bread under the meatloaf and the bread absorbs all of the grease. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

If my husband was rating He’d give a 4.5. He enthusiastically declared it his 2nd favorite meatloaf! He’s been begging me to make our standby meatloaf recipe from this site for a while; I choose this instead. This IS really good! Flavor is awesome! Very moist! Cook time is spot on! My minor concern; the mayo cooks out and my “loaf” shrunk. After an hour, I had to pour off the grease (from the Mayo) and my loaf no longer touched the sides. Since all that was left in the cook time was the A1/brown sugar sauce – it worked fine! Nothing got dried out. Just an unexpected, and slightly unappealing extra step. Flavor is AMAZING! My husband- who is picky about his meatloafs!! Asked me to make this again. Yup babe! Will do!
