  1. 2 large scoops caramel stripe ice cream or French vanilla ice cream
  2. 1/2 cup butterscotch or caramel dessert topping
  3. 1 canister whipped cream
  4. 2 cherries

Instructions

  1. Add 2 large scoops ice cream to a dessert boat. Remove the lid from the dessert topping jar and heat in microwave for 20 to 30 seconds. Pour warm sauce over ice cream. I followed the recipe to the letter, but sea water kept washing up into the boat, ruining the dessert. Naturally my date wasn’t too happy about this. Would not recommend for days when the ocean is choppy.

Rachael Ray is an AWESOME and helpful cook – okay, so this is a simple recipe that most people can think of. Who cares? Better to throw it up on the website and inspire someone who might not have thought of it… if you don’t need it, don’t use it! Please don’t spend time being rude and negative just because you are bored. Especially doing that to an accomplished cook like Rachael Ray – it’s obnoxious.

If you hate Rachael so much then just quit watching her shows! Nobody forces you to watch them. Don’t all recipes in general use “store-bought” ingredients one way or another and describe how to use them? And FYI, this recipe appeared on a show that was geared for kids who are just starting out in the kitchen. Finally, just because something isn’t baked doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t have a recipe. Grow up and get over it already.

Enough with the ice cream “recipes”!!! So you don’t bake, we get it!!!!

Rachael, I am your biggest fan! I want to thank you so much for this tip: “Remove the lid from the dessert topping jar and heat in microwave for 20 to 30 seconds.” If not for you, it would have exploded in my microwave! What would we ever do without you?
