A delightful sweet and sour soup that would be ideal for a chilly winter night. Ideally accompanied by a loaf of crusty bread.

Delightful quick and easy meal. I added broccoli, mushroom, red onion and garlic and served it over top brown rice. I did omit the extra salt. I did double the amount of soy sauce and vinegar and mixed that with 1/4 cup of chicken broth to which I added 1 tsp of cornstarch to thicken it up into a sauce. Next time I’ll add red pepper flakes to give it a kick. I will definitely make this again!
Really yummy! I added a pack of stir fry veggies towards the end and was more generous with the sesame oil (because my husband is crazy for it). Simple and quick, my kind of dinner.
Quick and easy to make . Dish needed more flavor so we added fire oil, red peppers, more garlic, red wine and more ginger. Served with brown rice. It all went!
I added squash to and fresh mushrooms and made my own stir fry sauce. I will make again
very easy and good for a beginner
Very Good !!!!
Will definitely make again. Have everything ready to go because it cooks up quick. Very good taste!
This was tasty and relatively easy.
I prepared the recipe as written but found that I wanted more liquid in it. I will review the feedback from others to see if there are any suggestions. Otherwise, very good for flavor
I+ would have been 5 s+ars if +he recipe men+ioned how much carro+s and snow peas should go in +he dish as shown
I added some vegetables I had in the refrigerator and some lightly salted peanuts. It turned out great.
Indeed this called for more vegetables, so i added carrots and green peas. However it’s an awesome recipe
Delicious flavours. Had no rice wine, but used rice vinegar instead. Added about 3 cups of vegetables (julienned carrots and red peppers) toward end of cooking and stir fried and sautéed until tender crisp. Added nice colour and crunch to this dish. Will definitely make again!
Easy, fast, excellent flavor!
Excellent. I used onion and celery for the vegetables, only because of on-hand inventory. The meal was terrific. I otherwise followed the directions verbatim.
Excellent.
This recipe is a great base to a meal. There is a great ginger flavor to it without it being overpowering — but it is most certainly there. We added sticky white rice and some sauteed mushrooms. We made ours without dark soy sauce, we just added in extra soy sauce, and without Chinese rice wine, we used an American white wine instead. This is simply because we didn’t have them readily available to us. All and all, this is good but not yet perfect. We’re going to play around with adding in carrots, snap peas, celery, water chestnuts, and other vegetables in various combinations to make this what we really want it to be.
fine stirfy
Sorry, I just couldn’t get into this. As is it was ‘blah’. Even after I doctored it up (alot) no one was thrilled with it. I won’t bother with it again.
This was tasty but it needed some kind of sauce to go with it.
This turns the pork to salty shoe leather. After stirring in the sesame oil and rice wine, there is still a total of 1 Tbs plus 2 tsp of water-based liquid. It is impossible to “simmer” something in less than 2 Tbs of liquid.
