The reason I named this rub BBQ dry rub No. 14 is because I created it in honor of my daughter’s 14th birthday. With all the other spices, it gives pork a pleasant sweet flavor. This rub has a mild flavor and will not irritate those with delicate palates. On ribs or pork shoulder, the light brown sugar adds a delicate sweetness to balance the other spices. Salt and pepper the ribs, then place in the fridge for the night. More can be used for larger chunks of meat. For those who enjoy heat, add 1 tablespoon (or however much you like) cayenne pepper.

This was excellent! I did add a bit of dry mustard and cinnamon. Because I’m watching my salt intake, only put a “dash” in, you’d never know it was missing. I’d def make it again.
Very tasty. Will definitely use this again.
Tried this rub on baby back ribs and baked in the oven. Had a nice crust and they taste Phenomenal?. It’s now my go to rub for everything.
I added more brown sugar, but this is a great mix for chicken breasts on the grill.
I’ve used this rub for about 10 years now. The only difference with mine, I cannot use cilantro(wife is allergic).
WOW! Everyone was so impressed! Such an easy recipe and had everyone raving.
Needs more seasoning, otherwise this is good!
My whole family loved this (6 yr old, 10 yr old, father, and mom)! Excellent. I used it on a pork butt to make pulled pork.
This rub is great! I used this on some ribs (followed by barbecue sauce) and my husband and I loved it. I left the cilantro out of the mix because we don’t care for it and I also did not add the cayenne pepper.
We thought this was awesome. I put it on about 24 hours before I cooked my ribs and the meat was so flavorful and just spiced perfectly. Will definitely make again.
It’s Great!! I use it on Salmon and bake it… It’s Yummy!!! Good Good Rub!!! 😉
It was very flavorful!
