Ingredients

  1. 12 ounces ground turkey
  2. 1/2 cup diced onion
  3. Cooking spray
  4. 1 can (14.5 oz.) Del Monte® Diced Tomatoes-No Salt Added
  5. 1 can (15.25 oz.) Del Monte® Whole Kernel Corn-No Salt Added, drained
  6. 1 can (15 oz.) low-sodium kidney beans, drained
  7. 1 can (8 oz.) Del Monte® Tomato Sauce-No Salt Added
  8. 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  9. (Optional) limes
  10. (Optional) light sour cream
  11. (Optional) cilantro
  12. (Optional) salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat a large skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Cook turkey and onion for 5 minutes or until onion is soft, stirring frequently.
  2. 2. Stir in tomatoes and its juices, corn, beans, tomato sauce and chili powder. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 12-15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  3. 3. Serve with lime wedges and top with sour cream and cilantro, if desired. Salt and pepper to taste.

I made this chili to take to a potluck. I had one of my friends who does not like chili try it and he loved it. It has good flavor and is easy to prepare.

It turned out pretty well.. I put it in a crock pot for 45 mins though to let some of the flavors set in.. it did taste like it was missing something so I added light brown sugar..
