My daughter absolutely LOVES this!! It became her favorite meal.
Excellent meal as is following receipt. Our family loves especially the Grand daughter
This is a staple at our house!! My teenage sons love it. Sometimes I add some white wine or sour cream, but it is delicious exactly as written. Don’t cube the chicken though!!!! Put the whole breasts in and shred. Tastes better that way. And saves you time.
Yum!
It was really salty. Very creamy just not for me.
There are many good things to say about this recipe, but unfortunately, I won’t be making it again. I followed the recipe almost exactly. I used four organic chicken breasts, and used Smart Balance for the margarine. I used lite cream cheese (also known as neufchatel), and Campbell’s “Heart Healthy” cream of chicken soup, which has a lower sodium and lower fat content compared to their regular. So in other words, I used all the right ingredients, but in their healthiest form. The only thing I did differently was to add 8 ounces of fresh mushrooms at the same time I added the soup and cream cheese. I served it over egg noodles. The aroma was wonderful all day, and the flavor was terrific. The only problem was that both of us found it to be too rich for our tastes. Neither of us could finish our normal-size serving, and neither of us are looking forward to the leftovers. I’m not sure how this could be improved. Maybe less cream cheese? I also didn’t try adding the white wine that some have recommended. Even if I had, I don’t think it would have lightened the dish enough. So, for us, this isn’t a keeper. Too bad, because it was a tasty recipe, and very easy to prepare.
I added mushrooms, it was great!
I add 1 chopped onion, sliced mushrooms and sometimes veggies. I cut back the noodles to reduce the carbs.
I love it so good!
I’ve made this recipe many times for my family and its always been a family favorite for both my children and everyone else I’ve made this for. Its always frustrating when people switch up the original so much that its no longer the original recipe at all and rate it based on all their changes they’ve made. My 5 star rating is based on the recipe exactly as is. Of course you could take others suggestions and tweak it if wanted to, but the original recipe is great just as it is. So good, and SO easy!!
Recipe as is was delicious. I added a dollop of sour cream at the end to give it a bit of extra flavor.
So easy and delicious. Just as good (better?) the next day! Easily adaptable to individual tastes. This one’s a “keeper”.
This recipe is overrated but it’s so easy that I had to give it 4 stars
This dish is so easy to fix and is delicious too. I had to make an adjustment because the two stores I went to did not have cream cheese so I substituted with sour cream. I LOVE EASY!
Only thing I changed I did on accident. I put everything in at once. The cream cheese the soup, seasoning, and I used butter instead of margarine. Turned out just fine. Family enjoyed it.
Yum! We made this exactly as written and would not change a thing. We added egg noodles to the crockpot when it was ready to serve. Comfort food at its best!
My go to recipe for a busy working mom and the family loves it.
Very tasty but heavy. I doubled the recipe and the family felt like it kind of weighed us down afterwards. Next time I will double the chicken and seasoning but only put one can of soup and 8 oz. of cream cheese. I also thought of adding mushrooms, carrots, and celery when I add the soup and cream cheese. Definitely worth repeating.
It was great! I got the recipe from my mom and have shared it with several people. They all love it!! Sometimes I use zesty Italian dry dressing instead of the regular but both are so good!!
My picky 5 year old loved this. She doesn’t like anything and she had seconds of this. I cooked the cubed chicken breasts for about 2 hours in the crockpot on slow (10 hr) then added the soup and cream cheese for 30 minutes on high (4hr). I also didn’t use the full seasoning packet because I was worried my daughter wouldn’t like it but it still turned out great.
Delicious! My husband loved it. I was so easy to make. The house smelled like heaven as the slow cooker did its work.
