The acidic flavor of wild huckleberries and the robust flavor of whole wheat and oats are highlighted in these filling and nutritious muffins. Your friends and family will adore this guilt-free and filling meal! These turn up surprisingly airy despite using whole wheat flour in part.

Ingredients

  1. 2 ½ pounds country-style pork ribs
  2. 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  3. 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  4. 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  5. 1 cup barbeque sauce

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients.

  3. Place ribs in a large pot and cover with water. Stir in kosher salt, garlic powder, and pepper, and bring water to a boil over medium heat. Continue to boil until ribs are tender, 40 to 45 minutes.

  5. While the ribs are boiling, preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  6. Remove ribs from the pot, and place them in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour barbeque sauce over ribs. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven until the internal temperature of the pork has reached 160 degrees F (70 degrees C), 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

The way I prepare my ribs is similar. I put the ribs in a pot with water and cut some onions in circles that I add to the water. I bring them to a boil and then simmer for 45 minutes. After removing the ribs from the pot, I baste both sides with BBQ sauce and put briefly under the broiler to caramelize the sauce. Easiest and most delicious ribs I have ever made.

Very Good! I made this recipe for dinner today and it came out great. I used my ‘Everything Pan’ to bake the Pork Country-ribs in BBQ sauce. The pan has a ribbed bottom, so you can imagine how the sauce cooked into the meat.

‘Took the advice of some and boiled them in 1/2 beef broth, then let them sit in the water for 1 1/2 hours before putting on the sauce and putting them in the oven. They did not disappoint! Even my kids who don’t like ribs loved these!!

After discrading the first batch, We cooked again without the kosher salt and w/o the BBQ sauce. We wanted low sodium and no chemicals. We used Lemon/Lime, little bit of ketchup. That made these perfect. We prefer regualr sea salt.

Was voluntold to bring a BBQ rib dish for work. Not a big BBQ fan but this recipe just can’t be beat. Have made it 3 times now and tonight will be 4. I make it just as it calls for and I definitely think it stands its ground with restaurant offerings. I use Sweet Baby Rays. Just a simple, reliable, tasty recipe.
