Whole family loved it!
Made this tonight for dinner. Was really good! Didn’t have pine nuts or green onion so I used what I had – cashews and red onion. Will definitely make this again.
I used half the butter since adding the bacon grease. Otherwise, I followed the recipe. Served with ham and potatoes for family Easter dinner. The kids complained but still ate the “rabbit” food.
Really good
Really good, even with hormel ready cooked bacon. I added low sugar dried cranberries to it the salt.
Could have been better. The sprouts needed to cook much longer than 15 minutes – they were way too tough. But that could easily be my fault. I just won’t make this one again.
Best tasting sprouts ever! Even my picky eaters had second helpings.
I’ve made this a couple times, I like them halved, and a lot more onions , 1/2 purple, and 1/2 yellow onion, added chicken/apple sausage thinly sliced, sliced mushrooms, the first batch I had old pine nuts and shouldn’t. Have, they are a bit hard to find so chopped up some walnuts, so this was our main side at thanksgiving as my wife is on a medical diet of no potato’s and with this recipe we didn’t even miss them , a new staple at our house
This is fabulous. I add a table spoon of maple syrup to top off! I must admit I’m very generous with bacon and pine nuts! Serving for Thanksgiving
Very tasty! I didn’t have pine nuts, but otherwise followed the recipe. I now can say I really like Brussels sprouts!
Excellent!! I seasoned with cajun seasoning and schollet. This is the third time I’ve made and everyone has loved it.
Easy and delicious. I served it with sautéed soft shell crabs. It was a perfect accompaniment.
Excellent taste! Delicious! I’d give it 5 stars, but frying in bacon grease and butter negates any nutritional benefits of the Brussel sprouts. I’m allergic to butter so I used margarine. I also quartered the Brussel sprouts. I didn’t have any green onions so I used a minced yellow onion.
Everybody is right. This is a very good way to prepare Brussel sprouts. I made it last week and had to make it again this week by popular demand.
Rather than shred the brussels sprouts I quartered them and cooked them a little longer.
I made the recipe as is except for pine nuts, which I didn’t have on hand. My husband and I loved it. I bought more sprouts at the store today so I can make them again!
My family loves this recipe! And its easy
Delicious!! Such a great way to make brussel sprouts that the whole family will enjoy.
Delicous. My in-laws-dont like Brussel sprouts but said this is the best way to eat them! So good.
I sliced this instead of shredding and then baked it in the oven for added crispness. Everyone loved it!
Delicious! I was a little nervous about bringing something to a holiday gathering without making it at home first. I received many compliments on it and hostess asked if i would mind sharing the recipe, so i sent her the link to it.
