I notice that many recipes now call for self-rising flour which I never buy. So 2 cups of flour, 1 Tbs of baking powder, and 1 tsp of salt. (How many recipes call for one cup of flour?) Works for me and I am glad you published it.

Very good recipe for self-rising flour! I tried making biscuits 3 times before I realized I missed the part where it had been calling for self-rising and I had been using all-purpose! Oops! The fourth time I made them, I used this recipe before attempting and the biscuit babies finally came out all grown up! Haha. Anyway, this is a tried and true recipe and I recommend it as is. I needed self rising flour for a recipe I was making and looked up on this web site how to make it. I found that this recipe is too salty. After tasting my recipe, I looked up another site and it said to use 1/4 tsp salt for a cup of flour. The amount of baking powder was the same. Next time I will use half as much salt.
