I used hazelnuts as my Grandmother did.

These cookies are a family, favorite and a tradition at Christmas time. I made one change by adding 1 teaspoon of almond extract, and one and a half teaspoons of vanilla instead of 2 teaspoons of vanilla. I baked the cookies at 325 degrees for 11 minutes. They came out, very tender, light, and melt in your mouth Delicious. happy holidays to everyone.

Very good recipe, I just changed one thing. I made it with 1 cup sifted confectioners sugar. I baked them at 350 for 15 minutes.
