Ingredients

  1. ½ cup white sugar
  2. ¼ cup evaporated milk
  3. 4 cups root beer

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and evaporated milk in a small saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 12 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat and slowly stir root beer into milk mixture until fully incorporated. Pour root beer mixture into 24 ice pop molds; freeze until solid, 8 hours to overnight.

Well, this was a disaster! I made it just like it said and my root beer sugar mix congealed. The sugar mix turned hard as a rock in the root beer. There was no way it was going to mix into a root beer float pop. I don’t know what happened. Sorry.

Delicious treat.. I used half sugar and half splenda.. plenty sweet enough and used diet root beer

Why have I never thought of this before? This is MONEY. I followed the directions exact using dixie cups and popsicle sticks to make popsicles without actual molds. Worked out great–we loved them!
