steamed vegetables that are aromatic, succulent, and scrumptious with a pleasant twist. In our home, this is now the preferred method for preparing broccoli. In addition, try substituting stir-fried veggies or asparagus!

I found this to be way too heavy on the seasoning, for only 2 cups of broccoli, and I only used half of the chili powder. I think the flavor would be ok if you cut all of the seasoning in half, and even left out the chili powder.
This recipe needs NO salt!
We tried this tonight using about twice the broccoli, and added button mushrooms and sliced red pepper. The veggies were all very tender, but the chili powder was overwhelming…even with twice the broccoli. Next time, I’d leave out the chili powder and put lemon juice on it instead. My husband never complains about anything I cook, but he did complain about this dish.
The chili powder over powered the dish. I will make this again but will only use half or less of chili powder called for. I liked the other ingredients. Thanks for posting.
The time and temperature and prep directions are spot on — however, I felt it was overspiced and hid the broccoli. I’ll go without the montreal steak seasonings next time.
I wasted a lot of broccoli on this recipe. I even doubled the amount of broccoli and it STILL came out WAYYYYyyy too salty! Inedible. Had to toss. Sad face.
I found this to be EXTREMELY salty and I didn’t add salt. I mixed the spices together and sprinkled them on the vegies. I will make this again though and be careful with the spices. It was a great side to our turkey burgers.
The taste was good, but overly salty for me…and I didn’t add salt. The BF likes salt so he didn’t complain. The cook time in my oven was way less but I just watched it, turning after it started to darken.
Absolutely delicious! I didn’t have regular steak seasoning so used blackened steak seasoning. The only complaint was by my husband because I made too little and he wanted more. So nice to have a dish more interesting than steamed, I much prefer the crunch.
WAY too much spice…totally overpowered the veggies.
I cut the spices in half the second time I made it except for the garlic. It was way to spicy as written. That made it much better.
Like usual, I use recipes as a base or an idea. Broccoli florets with garlic and cayanne powders and a little sea salt tossed in olive oil then roasted for 20 or so minutes. Delicious and I use it in so many different things. I’ll add some to my risotto, use in my fried rice, lo mein, stir-fry, pasta with alfredo. I love it.
Too salty
I’ve made this recipe three times now, and each time it has turned out great. Tonight, I made Peri-Peri Pork Roast with this as the side dish… I used the Peri-Peri seasoning instead of the Montreal Steak seasoning…. it was delicious… so the bones of this recipe are very good, and it is easy to adjust to your own taste. Five Stars!!!
This was great according to the whole family!!!! Great flavor and carmelization!! A keeper!!!!
Good recipe for roasted vegetables, I drizzled a little more oil at the end because the broccoli takes longer than the other veggies to cook. Tasted great.
Everyone liked this. I only used the Montreal steak seasoning and didn’t add the red pepper because I didn’t have any. Will make again
Flavorful but a little salty. If you’re looking for a low sodium recipe, this is not the one for you. Also, I cooked for only 15 minutes to maintain a little of the broccoli’s body – 20 minutes would’ve been too long.
Very good just as it is.
Followed the recipe….it was delicious
Easy and good!
