Wow, chicken tasted great! I only marinaded for 4 hours but turned out great. Served with rice.
It was excellent, but a lot of ingredients, so the prep time is a little longer. I had all of them on hand, though, which was great. Was kind of shocked at the 2 Tablespoons of lemon pepper but it tasted great. Family liked it and will make it again. I can see it as a go to when you don’t want to hassle going to the store.
serve over a bed of rice
This recipe was absolutely delicious!! I’m not a chicken breast person because it’s always dry no matter what. This was really tender and juicy. I left it in the marinade overnight till the next evening. I think the best bbq chicken I’ve ever had really. Thank you for the recipe!
Everyone said the recipe was a keeper. Who am I to argue with that? Thank you
Fantastic marinade! Works equally well on pork.
I made it exactly as the recipe. The chicken came moist but nothing special. It was ok.
The sauce was fantastic. I however decided to bake the chicken in the sauce and then served your sauce along side the meal as a dipping sauce. Your sauce was full of flavor and each of the ingredients captured itself nicely with the chicken.
Had to substitute red wine for the sherry but turned out fantastic !
Didn’t have the sherry or the lime, but otherwise made as directed. Was fabulous!
Absolutely fantastic!
Added a bit (~1/4 tsp) liquid smoke for an extra dimension
Yum!!! As others recommended, I doubled the sauce (but didn’t double the sugar). I dumped all the sauce over the chicken and baked. So delicious!
Delicious & Moist – Huge Hit!
Delicious. My favorite “go to” chicken recipe.
I only marinated this chicken for about 4 or 5 hours before cooking, and it still came out flavorful and juicy. The only thing that bothered me about it was that it tasted a bit too salty for my personal tastes. I would make it again, perhaps lowering the amount of salt and soy sauce used.
Family absolutely LOVES this hot off the grill…
OMG I’ve found my new favorite marinade for chicken! Just a tad sweet plus tangy. So good! We made it exactly as stated with 2 lbs b/s chicken thighs and grilled on a gas grill. Thanks for a fabulous recipe!
No substitutions. Perfect the way it is. Suggest renaming to everything but the kitchen sink chicken. Great recipe!!!
Make this a lot. Great on shrimp
Amazing Flavor. Ray, I raise my hat to you! Best marinade in all the land. Just as an FYI to others, I eliminated the oil and it didn’t seem to impact the flavor, but the recipe is perfect as it is!
