Despite doubling the cheese and adding some garlic powder, this bread still turned out to be a bit plain and strangely sweet.

I like the recipe but I added mushrooms a little bit of cayenne pepper

It came out nice but not much flavor. I would recommend adding some garlic powder, onion powder to this recipe.

This tastes great. I used my pancake mix in place of flour, sugar, and baking powder, as it was about to expire. My 5 years old daughter loves the cheese and her dad loves bread so this entire serving for 12 was enough just for the two of them. I guess I need to make some more ??

I love this. Took many of the suggestions made by others — more cheese, less sugar, a touch of garlic salt. But I also added a teaspoon of “herbes de Provence”. which was wonderful.

Yummy. My family loved it. I loved the quick making time. Added garlic powder and butter to top after done and served with spaghetti but versatile. Crumbly was the only con and definitely bypasses the quick make of fresh homemade bread.

I added a few ingredients and changed the amount of vegetable oil (1/8 C) and cut in approx. 2/3 Cup of butter. I also added 1/4 C chopped red and orange sweet peppers and 2 scallions chopped fine. I also used 1 1/2 C of shredded cheese. It is delicious,

Not bad for a quick and easy bread loaf. It’s more scone like than bread though. I highly recommend putting less sugar and more salt and some garlic powder for more savory and better taste. Also added some mozzarella cheese on the top for a more cheesey look.

No eggs? No problem! I was out of eggs (#Covid19) so I made the recipe minus the egg, and it was still delicious.

The bread was deliciously addictive. It disappeared the same day it was made. My kids loved it. It was crumbly, which is the only reason I do not give it five stars. Other than that, it was great.

Great basic savory quick bread recipe. I made 3/4 cup of the flour whole wheat, 1cup milk, and about 1-1/2 cups shredded mild cheddar. I also reduced the sugar to 1 T, and added about 1/8 t cayenne and 1/4 t garlic powder. Moist on the inside, crumbly on the outside. Yum!

we followed the recipe as it is and it went out great just lessen the salt coz the cheese is already salty tho. Love it and will bake it again for sure

I made this today – it came out just before my son arrived home from work & he went crazy over this bread ! I’m not kidding he ate almost 1/2 the loaf . So I guess I will be making this many days of the month . LOL I also used 1 C of milk & xtra- sharp cheddar cheese – no crumbly fall apart whatsoever. It was perfect to cut even while still warm .

I love this bread, I use triple cheddar shredded cheese. I made this for the county fair baking competition in 2019 and won best in show. I have made it numerous times since then and it is always delicious.

I didn’t really have issues with the texture, but the sugar is totally unnecessary in my opinion and it could use some onion flakes or powder, or even garlic to add flavor. I’d second other suggestions I’ve seen of doubling the recipe in a normal-sized bread pan as well.

This was good. I was ,a king spaghetti and wanted something like garlic bread, but did not have anything to quickly make it. Tried this recipe and it was greatly Did not rise as well as I would have liked, but still good. My husband really liked it. Will make again. Quick and easy.

Followed Navy_Mommy recommendation and increased milk to 1 cup and 1&1/2 cup of cheese. The bread was still crumbly but tasty. Reminders me more of a corn bread or banana bread.

I would not add the sugar next time

I absolutely LOVE this bread. I was skeptical about putting in the sugar but it added the perfect sweetness. I did use sharp cheddar as that is all I buy. Almost added garlic but so glad I didn’t because of the sweet taste. It is a little crumbly but not bad. Came out very moist. I also do not have a bread pan so used an 8 x 8 pan and baked for 20 mins and it came out perfectly!! My 7 year old autistic daughter who is a very fussy eater even liked this bread. Delicious!

I’ve made this a few times for something quick to go with pasta. It’s been consistently good and a great tasting fast baking bread.
