Pumpkin Ginger Float

Ingredients

  1. 1 pint pumpkin ice cream
  2. Two 12-ounce bottles ginger beer
  3. Whipped cream, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place 4 float glasses in the freezer to chill.
  2. When ready to serve, scoop 1 to 2 scoops of ice cream into each glass. Slowly pour the ginger beer over the ice cream until it meets the rim of the glasses. Garnish with whipped cream and serve immediately.

Well, I thought this sounded interesting enough to try – so I did, and it was definitely interesting. I may not have been able to come by the right kind of ice cream, being that I could only find Pumpkin Pie flavored, with either graham cracker or crust pieces in it.  And even for that, I had to wait for it to be in season at the stores. I didn’t like the random chunks in my float. But still, the ginger beer mixed with the pumpkin pie flavor was just too odd. I now know that I prefer to have those two items separate from each other. Sorry Katie, maybe other’s will like this combo, if they can find the right kind of ice cream first.
