Followed recipe exactly. Did not turn out. Tasted like baking powder. Donuts not sweet at all. The glaze helped but not enough to overcome baking powder. The measurements need some adjusting.
I grab my own pumpkins so I could use my own purée. I know most people will not be able to do that. But if you can I highly recommend it. If you can’t at least buy a pumpkin and make your own puréed from that.
This recipe was so good! Once I made It I needed a break for a bit so I went to watch something in my room then when I came back all the donuts were gone! I looked at everyone in the house and one person had a donut in their hand with only a quarter left! I looked at everybody’s hand and they gobbled them up! I at a quarter one of them had and it was so good! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
I was glad to find a recipe for which I did not need any kind of form pan. I was afraid they would try to flatten so I was not disappointed when I discovered that I had missed the butter. I used whole wheat flour and buttered the tops after they came out of the oven. I hope to try them again with white flour and I will probably skip the butter again.
Added a handful of dried cranberries to the dry ingredients, prior to incorporating the wet. Then continued with the recipe as stated, using a gallon ziploc with the corner snipped off to pipe into moulds.
These are pretty tasty and my kids loved the icing on these but… they are near identical to another pumpkin recipe here on Allrecipes that is a smidge better. I’m not a huge fan of the piped doughnut. It may be because I used gluten free flour but I did not end up with a crueler looking doughnut. The batter is perfect for a doughnut pan though.
it was very good great idea
When I made it they turned out really flat, this could be due to any number of things I did (like letting the kids help measure or only having really old baking powder). However, they are delicious and super easy anyway! 🙂
Ive been baking my whole life and everything I have made has always turned out but this did not.
Not really a doughnut but more of a cake. Next time I would try a different recipe.
The only possible reason these could be mistaken as donuts is because they are piped into that shape. That being said, they made very delicious small cakes. I love that you can pipe them, maybe I’ll try another shape next time.
These Donuts were pretty good. The only thing is, it tasted more like cake rather than donuts. They had a good flavor though.
I loved these doughnuts. They were easy to make and I loved the fact the doughnuts were baked instead of fried.
