Ingredients
- 3 slices bacon, or to taste, cut into 1-inch pieces
- ½ cup diced onion, or to taste
- 1 ½ pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and halved
- 1 cup water
- 1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place bacon into a pressure cooker and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 8 minutes. Add onions and sauté for 1 minute. Add green beans; toss until coated in bacon grease, then pour in water.
- Close the cooker securely and place the pressure regulator over the vent according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Heat until steam escapes in a steady flow, about 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 5 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally according to the manufacturer’s instructions, 5 to 10 minutes. Unlock the lid and remove. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Reviews
I loved it. It reminded me of my mothers and aunts version. I added more bacon and onions but it was great.
