Thanks for sharing this recipe which is delicious. Next time I may add some nuts and coconut.

OMG it is to die for.

It’s an absolutely delicious recipe and everyone I’ve made it for loves it. However I reduce the sugar by half and use 3/4 of the flour required, replacing 1/4 cup or the flour with desiccated coconut to give it a delicious coconut chewy flavor. Serve hot with icecream and boom! Exposing tastebuds guaranteed

I made this with a few changes. 1) I used pineapple chunks and tossed them with some brown sugar (they were more on the tart side) and some cornstarch (to thicken up any remaining liquid after draining) 2) instead of pouring melted butter on top I chopped some butter and then dotted the top. Everything else was the same. The kids really dug it, would absolutely make again. I really liked the texture of the crust

So good! Will be baking this again. A few tweaks, I used a long casserole dish since I had so much pineapple, 1/2 stick of chopped cold butter and sprinkled a little bit of oats on top before baking. Thanks for an easy and delicious recipe!

This recipe is perfect! Made it for a dinner party and the guests loved it. It was all gone in few minutes. The only change I made was substituting 1 cup flour for 1/2 cup of flour and 1/2 cup oats.

Pineapple, I love pineapple! I made this with one fresh pineapple. This was easy to make and tastes delicious. I already had everything In my cupboards to make this which made it so simple. Well except an egg but what crazy person doesn’t have eggs. I was actually at the store yesterday and thought to myself “hmm I should get eggs” but decided I would wait since we don’t eat eggs very often. But I did get me a pineapple because, well you know, I said it at the beginning of my review. I guess not getting eggs was a mistake because as I was checking out allrecipes.com I found this gem of a recipe. Luckily I have a non crazy neighbor that was able to provide the one measly egg needed for this recipe. No running to the store which was nice. Although running the store would have been a good idea so I could burn some of the calories I consumed eating this delicious dessert. Honestly though I’m not sure the egg was needed. Im thinking I could have just cut the butter in the flour/sugar mixture and it would have worked out. Eh regardless it was still good and I would make it as written again. Well Except maybe less butter. I think the butter could probably be reduced without anyone knowing the difference. I don’t know about you but I could do with fewer calories. I think this would be great with apples or peaches as well. Now I’m off to provide my lovely neighbor with a bowl of this deliciousness for making it possibly for me to enjoy this delightful dessert on my lunch break.

I made this recipe because I had some fresh pineapple in my fridge. I also put some coconut with the pineapple and made it in a loaf baking pan. It tastes delicious I hope my boy friend loves it or at least enjoys. It’s an easy and quick recipe to make. I will be making ut for my mom next time.

Very good. I added chopped Maraschino Cherries . I would for sure make this again and serve it to guests . I also put whipped cream on top.

Omitted egg, used fresh pineapple, cut back on sugar, and mixed cold butter to make a crumble topping.

This is delectable!! I will make it again many times I’m sure.

Solid recipe, great with fresh pineapple. I added equal parts clove and nutmeg in with the cinnamon. Turned out great.

This one gets four stars, only because I am not a big pineapple fan. But in terms of recipe design, it’s a definite winner. My family larger ignored the final product, so I have consumed all but one piece. The success of this recipe is the mixing of the top crust as the gooey pineapple underneath. This is a great dessert to make if you are looking for something a little off the beaten path, particularly if your family are guests have an adventuresome bone in their body.

Easy to make. Tastes great. I added pineapple juice to flour mixture.

Delicious way to use up fresh pineapple! I used the food processor to “crush” the pineapple. Sorry about the few changes ,I cut the butter down to a 1/4 cup, added about 1/2 cup whole oats to the flour mixture trying to make it a little healthier??and the recipe was wonderful! I’ll use this recipe as a base for other fruits too. Thank you!

I added some oats and vanilla to the topping. Also, I mixed the butter and cinnamon into the topping instead of pouring/sprinkling it over the top. It’s very good! Consistency is a cross between a crisp and a cobbler which I think was intended as crisps don’t typically have egg in them. I will likely add coconut flakes next time too cause I love the flavor together. Fun recipe and a great way to have a pineapple dessert that’s not as sweet as upside down cake. ??

Made this with an old fashioned crumble recipe (brown sugar, oats, flour, butter, cinnamon) and used fresh pineapple to replace the canned pineapple. SERVED this at thanks giving and everyone said the crumble was the best part. The pineapple didn’t belong, will not make again with pineapple.

I used fresh pineapple that I had on hand. I accidentally mixed the cinnamon into the crumb mixture instead of sprinkling on top as recipe said but it turned out great like that. I also used a little vanilla extract and used half white and half brown sugar. Easy and quite delicious!

This desert turned out Fantastic !!! I made it mostly by the directions, the few changes I made was to add about a tbsp of Almond extract, added chopped Pecans to the topping and added a bit of the pineapple juice to the topping along with divided the melted butter between the topping mixture itself and the rest directly on top of the topping … also added more of the ground cinnamon in the mixture and also on top of the butter poured directly on top … It was So good, not overly sweet at all !!!

I had some fresh pineapple that was starting to ferment. It worked great for this recipe. I loved the crumble topping. I’m sure this recipe would work well with mango, bananas and other tropical fruit that is starting to be less desirable in a fruit salad.
