Let cool, then pour into an ice-filled pitcher. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 cups each fresh lemon juice and water, and some lemon slices.
- Simple Syrup: To make 2 cups simple syrup, bring 1 1/2cups each sugar and water to a boil, stirring until dissolved. Let cool.

Great recipe
i love this kind (lemonade).
This was exactly what I was looking for in lemonade. I have trouble with using a vegetable peeler for the zest, but that’s on me. I used my micro plane and had to stop myself from drinking it all in one go. Off to get a juicer to save time.
HORRIBLE
Found this to be a tad too tart /strong for us. Still good lemonade. Will not put the zest in the simple syrup next time.
its was simple and delicious, i love that about some recipes!!!!!!!!
It’s definitely tasty, but a little on the sweet side and not enough lemony tartness for my tastes. Second time around (and most definitely worth the 2nd try, I’ll cut back on the sugar in the simple syrup and boost the lemons. I used 5 large lemons to get ~2 cups of lemon juice.
A local native has a recipe to make syrup from sugar cane (a lengthy process that involves copper kettles. However, I cannot argue with the result. So much so, I included her recipe in my first novel as the ultimate glass of lemonade. Bon chance!
Yum it tastes like summer! Very nice recipe.
Very perfect. Sweet & tart flavors are balanced expertly, the definition of summer lemonade. Yum!
